II. Introduction

A mangkok is a rounded, hollow dish or bowl, usually used to serve

different cuisines. The business name, Hearty Mangkok, symbolizes the dishes we

do, not only served within a mangkok but dishes that are overall good for the body.

From brown rice and homemade sauces to a variety of fresh fish and toppings, our

ingredients are plentiful and offer everyone something tasty to indulge in for lunch

or dinner. Fitted for those on a tight budget and wanting to dine in a healthy dish,

Hearty Mangkok is here to serve. Elyn Julia S. Basilio, a graduate with a Bachelor

of Science in Business Administration major in Management, is the sole owner of

Hearty Mangkok. She is the one who will manage everything that is happening

within the business. Hearty Mangkok's mission is to serve, deliver, and provide a

nutritious, affordable, balanced meal for anyone who stops by.

Our company logo symbolizes the name of the company itself is within a

mangkok, a rounded, hollow dish or bowl, usually used to serve different cuisines,

along with some utensils at the side. The veins branching out of the letters Y and

M correspond with the heart shown, as we produce “Hearty”/ healthy products.

There is also a mangkok within the word “Mangkok.”

III. Rationale/ Background

Hearty Mangkok is focused on preparing, offering, and producing healthy

dishes for those who desire them. Individuals who are looking for a balanced meal

of premium ingredients like salmon, black rice, and tuna with a dash of our unique

homemade toppings and sauces of their choice, giving them not only a truly
"hearty" dish but also an affordable one. Our company was created for the many

people who have demanding work schedules, family commitments and people who

are constantly on the go. Our products are a way individuals could ensure that

what they ate on the go contained only the best fresh ingredients, was nutritionally

balanced, and low in calories.

Hearty Mangkok has two direct competitors: Soul Kitchen and The Green

Bounty Kitchen. These two restaurants both have their strengths and weaknesses,

as the main similarity we have to them is, we all offer healthy organic meals. Prices

in Soul Kitchen tend to be very expensive, with servings too small for the prices

they uphold. Meals take a very long time to prepare in The Green Bounty Kitchen,

and their branch in SM Lanang Premier is located under an escalator, and

according to staff objects tend to fall.

IV. Project Description

Hearty Mangkok aims to grow as a business and become a larger company to

serve more people the "hearty" mangkok dishes we produce. Hearty Mangkok will

attain this goal through the following objectives:

• To serve a balance of contemporary and traditional flavors that excites the

palate and keeps customers coming back for more.

• Expand the name of our business not just locally but nationally, and

• Establish a name in the food industry where Hearty Mangkok stands out

from the rest.

Hearty Mangkok is in SM Lanang Premier Food Hall, located in the Northwing's

second level. This is the heart and center of many affordable, great, and enjoyable
food businesses, attracting all types of customers, from foreign to students. We

have three different toppings/flavors: Sirena, Dugong, Bakunawa. These flavors

would be paired with the three bases of the customer's choice: greens, brown or

black rice.
