NORTHERN
MINDANAO
• Is an administrative region of the
Philippines and designated as Region 10
• The term Northern Mindanao was officially (Insert picture here)
coined by Americans after establishment of
American Rule in the Philippines due to the
Filipino revolutionaries
• Largest Regional Economy in the island of
Mindanao

The whole region covers a total land area of

The Province of Bukidnon (Insert picture here)

is home to seven tribes,


namely: Talaandig, Higa-
onon, Bukidnon,
Umayamnon, Matigsalug,
Manobo and Tigwahanon.
ITS PEOPLE
The vast majority of the regions
inhabitants are migrants from Cebu and
Bohol. Some inhabitants from Waray,
Tagalog and Maranao descent. with a
total population of 5.02 millions + as of (Insert picture here)

ECONOMY
The economy in Northern Mindanao is
mainly agricultural or also known as
agricultural economy it is a major
producer of rice, corn, sugar, coffee, (Insert picture here)
pineapple, banana, tomato, cassava,
and other fruits and vegetables. It is also
producer of poultry, hogs, goats and
cattle
NATIVE INGREDIENTS
• SAKURAB is an important ingredient
in Maranao cooking. It is mainly used as
an ingredient in many Maranao dishes
such as the bakas piaparan, yellow fin
tuna cooked in coconut milk, turmeric
and palapa

• GRATED COCONUT It is usually
roasted and mixed with meat such as
piaparun a odang (spiced shrimp),
piaparun a manuk (spiced chicken) and
piaparun a atay (spiced chicken liver).
