ESSAY DRAFT

Introduction (Stereotype)
Stereotyping will never get away and always happen. The stereotyping is defined as belief
is
that was over-generalized about a particular or specific group of people. For example
stereotyping towards Asian people saying they are good at math. With stereotyping still exist,
it seems its hard to subside especially fr women. This essay will be focused on"Is Stereotyping
Can Cause Problem to the 21st century women."

Discussion 1 (Women at Work)

stereotype
Moving on to the first point. Women at their workplace. Statistic shows that 75% employee
are women and 83.3% are men employee in February 2021. Usually a company a is owned by
a man. They only hire men to work at their company. This could be seen in many big company
such as car service center. This stereotyping happen because they think women are not
capable on
compatible with doing work man’s job. This type of job is too rugged, complicated and
please
it requires patient. However there are rare occasion where these women get hired, but their
change with
work is going unrecognized. People also think that women only suitable working in the office
more
or inside building. It’s because men normally do the active physical activity. The way people
suitable
treat a working woman also different than an unemployed woman. The employers look at the
word
women who are employed are the best among the best. It may sounds good to other people
means
but this mean their work are harder and the work that was assigned to them needs to reach
their employers expectation. Whatever the job is, it needs to get done with excellent. This
employed
happen because in their point of view, these employd women are more independent but the
reality is they are still the same with a normal employed man.

Discussion 2 ( Housewife)
One of the stereotype towards women that needs to be focused on is stereotype towards
housewives. Housewives are women who choose to stay at home with certain purposes and
reasons while others family members are working or studying outside. However, people tend
to think that housewives are too lazy to work. However, housewives especially with children
are busier than normal office woman. Other than that, people think they doesn’t have the
same pressure as working women. But the reality is with all the chores and work they have to
do, they also have the same pressure as working women. There are also some housewives
that are suffering from stress and depression due to loads of house chores. They sometimes

didn’t get to spend their own free time. People nowadays, think that housewives gets all the
time they want. The most negative stereotype towards housewives is they are wasting their
time and full potential as a women because they didn’t get to experience work and activities
that are normally do by a woman.

Discussion 3 (Women leadership)

Next stereotyping towards women is in the world of leadership. In the modern world there
Prime Minister
are already women who are a prime minister such as New Zealand prime minister, Jacinda
Ardern. But, there are still people who thinks that women are not suitable to be a leader. It’s
good idea but need to make a clearer sentence

simply because of feminine stereotype. For example, women are too emotional to be a leader
which can cause they make bad decision because of their emotion. Other than that, people
only think that a leader must have a masculine, tough and strong body. This means that
women who mostly aren’t masculine as men can’t be a leader. Furthermore, women having
difficulty to become or recognized as a leader is because men have been leaders for so long.
People tend to see men as powerful and strong. This can be seen in past where powerful
gender
leaders are from wealthy and rich men. Bias and discrimination is one the reason why there
are less women leader. According to index, about half of the world’s men and women feel
that men make better political leaders and that men have more right to a job when jobs are
scarce.
change it to a better word
good point but need to elaborate more and
Discussion 4 ( Women in Education) give more example

Last but not least is stereotyping women in education. Although it is the least stereotype that
happens to women it still makes some of them having a hard time to live normal life. Language
is powerful in challenging or reinforcing gender stereotypes but it also can be a sexist
language even without sexist intent. For instance, a PE teacher telling a girl “you’re tough like
a guy”. It can be seem normal but it can emotionally affect the girl. In school, teachers and
peers expecting the girls to behave like a girl. Girls should be well behave while boys are
expected to act out. It can affect less feminine girls in both emotionally and mentally thus it
can make their self-esteem low. Most people think that girl likes to wear something pink and
girly because that’s what people usually see. Girls who wear black colour shirt, leather jacket
or short hair might get hassled by their peers.

Conclusion
To conclude, stereotyping can be both positive and negative. In this 21st century negative
stereotyping needs to be stopped. The world needs to change their generalized point of view
towards women. The media also needs to show and broadcast women’s right through
television or social media to educate more spread awareness.
