Dental and emotional Fear and anxiety in children during dental treatment is not
support a novel occurrence in dentistry. Children's fear of dentists
makes it difficult for them to deliver the best possible care.
As a result, it is critical for dentists to develop positive
connections with patients, and parents must play an
essential part in giving a sense of security for children
during dental hygiene. The goal of the research was to find
out how parents felt about their children during dental
treatment. This is a descriptive study employing a cross-
sectional approach. Patients aged 3-6 years who received
treatment at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, RSGM
Baiturrahmah, between December 2019 and February 2020
were included in the study, with a total of 40 patients.
Purposive sampling is used in this study, and data is
collected via a questionnaire. According to the findings, the
majority of respondents (42.5%) had a moderate emotional
level, while the majority of those (57.5%) had a high
emotional level. The survey found that many parents are
still concerned about their children receiving dental
treatment at the RSGM Baiturrahmah's Department of
Pediatric Dental Health.

According to table 2, the majority of parents who have moderate emotional levels
during their child's dental treatment, namely 17 people (42.5 %), and high emotional levels,
