ONLINE LEARNING IN HUMSS SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS DURING THE

COVID-19 PANDEMIC:

STRESS, SATISFACTION, AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

Statement of the Problem

The purpose of this study was to find out how Senior High School students in Humanities and
Social Sciences strand handles stress, their satisfaction and academic performance on e-learning
during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, this research aimed to answer the following
questions:

1. What is the respondents' demographic profile in terms of:


a. Age
b. Hours spent daily for online learning
c. Sex
d. Residence
e. Income status
f. Device commonly used to connect Internet
g. Stability of Internet connection
2. Do HUMSS Senior High School students feel stressed on their online learning during the
COVID-19 Pandemic?
3. Do HUMSS Senior High School students feel satisfied of the e-learning during the
COVID-19 pandemic?
4. What is the current status of HUMSS Senior High School students’ academic
performance through the use of e-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic?
5. Will the students recommend the use of online learning to others in time of COVID-19
pandemic?

Objectives of the Study

This study assessed the second-year undergraduate nursing students’ stress, satisfaction, and
academic performance in having online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic from HUMSS
Senior High School students of three municipalities in Isabela and determined the association of
stress with satisfaction and academic performance.
