I. SUMMARY

I am a skilled senior structural engineer with extensive practical experience in

analysis and design of all types of structures. I have performed seismic & wind
analysis and design for new structures as well as seismic evaluation. My
background also covers extensive research experience in the field of analysis of
high rise buildings and different types of telecom towers. I am computer literate: I
am proficient in design and analysis modeling using the current design and analysis
finite-element programs and I am capable to learn and master other programs. I am
licensed and possess a high degree in engineering and I have exceptional
interpersonal and teamwork as well as managerial skills.

 Worked as the Senior structural engineer for one of the largest and unique
infrastructure & telecom towers projects through which the following tasks are
performed:

 Monitor and review the work of less-experienced engineers and approve design
calculations and details

 Preparation of Design sketches and calculations of steel structures.
 Performing connection designs for secondary and primary sections of steel beams.
 Analysis of existing slabs capacity check for proposed rooftop tower.
 Design of optimized Steel sections as per AISC (ASD/LRFD).
 Analysis & design of telecom towers as per code ANSI EIA/TIA 222-G, ANSI EIA/TIA 222-

 Performed nonlinear analysis (using Staad Pro) on a 14- story building at the UCLA:
The 14-story building was designed. The structure’s lateral force resisting system was
ordinary moment frames located on the perimeter of the building. The structure was
reanalyzed against the updated CBC forces, which caused unacceptable forces and
story drifts. Many solutions were suggested to strengthen the structure. The BRB
(buckling-restraint braces) system was the most suitable solution that proved to
enhance the building capacity and ductility.
 Performed seismic analysis (using ETABS) on a five-story building.
