Grab, Southeast Asia's most famous ride-hailing service, has changed its name to Grab. Grab also
connects all of the company's offerings, including taxis (GrabTaxi), private car services (GrabCar),
motorcycle taxis (GrabBike), social carpooling (GrabHitch), and last-mile delivery (GrabExpress).

Operational Standards

Grab has grown from a simple taxi-booking app to Southeast Asia's largest land transport business, with
over 200,000 drivers and over 11 million mobile downloads, since its launch in 2012. Since mid-2015,
GrabCar rides have increased by 35% on an average monthly basis, while GrabBike rides have increased
by 75% on an average monthly basis.

The waiting time of a costumer for his/her grab driver are depends on how far the grab taxi from his/her
passenger, but there will be an estimated time that will show in mobile app the estimated time of the
arrival of the grab taxi. The availability of grab taxi are everywhere according to the grab page they
drivers everywhere around Metro Manila, Cebu City, Davao City, Iloilo City, Bacolod City, and Baguio
City, and still adding some areas in the list.

When it comes to safety and security of grab taxi, All drivers have to go through our security and safety
screening before being qualified as a driver on our platform. And their grab app have some security
features like emergency button where you can press it any time during the ride it is programmed to call
authorities. The other one is share my ride where you let your loved ones know where you share your trip
details and live GPS location. When it comes to safety in the present time it is safe to ride grab taxi
because all grab taxi drivers are required to he safety protocol like sanitation, barriers, wearing facemask
and face shield.

In grab taxi it can only contain 4 adults, 3 adults + 2 children, 2 adults + 3 children, 1 adult + 4 children,
6 children. When it comes with the passenger luggage passenger are recommended to store your luggage
or bulky items in the car boot. However, if the passenger’s belongings cannot fit into the space, you can
ask your driver if you can use the passenger seat(s) instead. And ensure that it does not block the driver’s
view, as passenger and driver safety is a top priority for Grab. Do note that doing so will reduce the
number of passengers allowed to ride in the vehicle as well. However, your driver may decline your
request to put your items on the passenger seat(s). He or she also has the right to cancel your booking if
your belongings have the potential to cause damage or messiness to the vehicle.

When it comes to the expense of the passengers, grab drivers are trained to turn on the meter once the
passenger is inside the taxi. All you have to pay is the metered fare (based on LTFRB) and an additional

there a booking fee? The reason for a booking fee is for drivers to be able to cover their expense in going
to where the passenger are. Remember, drivers only start their meters once you’re inside the taxi.

For the utilization there are 7000 grab taxi all over everywhere around Metro Manila, Cebu City, Davao
City, Iloilo City, Bacolod City, and Baguio City. And in the near future the this list will be grow into
other areas in the Philippines.

The service quality of grab taxi are bit frustrating, based on my research most of the feedbacks of some
passengers, some of grab drives are poor in attitude and lack of knowledge of finding the trip route. But
passengers can avoid because in the process of booking you can see the information and the rate of the
driver which passengers may or may decline and find another grab driver. Also after the ride you can rate
your driver in the app so that you can help the driver or other passengers, for example if one’s driver have
a poor ratings in his/her info which means there are many negative feedbacks so you can choose another
one who have a good ratings.

When it comes to environmental impact grab taxi are nature friendly because the company have a car
requirements which it has to be an eco-friendly car.

In intelligent transport system grab is easier to access because passengers can book a taxi with any time
they want and not wait outside with some random taxi and anywhere around the mentioned area. Just by
accessing into their mobile app they can easily book a ride with security and safety.

of personal information of passengers and driver-partners. Grab provides Greater transparency and

operational processes. This ensures transparency, traceability, and knowledge. Lastly Pushing the
Boundaries of Road Safety in Philippines, Backseat seatbelts are not mandatory in Philippines but
recommended by the assessment body. Backseat passenger seatbelt is now a mandatory feature in new
Grab vehicles.

standards
Overall the operational standard and management of the grab company does a really great job and still
improving. Grab company are really showing their determination to provide and improve their services to
their customers. Not only costumers but they also provide a opportunities to other people to make money
or provide a descent work.

Management suggestions/solutions
Grab's Telematics software should be improved. This software will detect dangerous driving patterns as
well as any vehicle-related issues. It can, for example, detect the speed of a vehicle. Vehicles, swerving,
and braking hard or increasing speed Car injury, such as car engine problems that result in car accidents,
may also be reported. As a result, this app can educate drivers to improve their driving experience.
