Essay
1-2.
Several years past by there's a lot of changes I saw in our country, but I want to see
something that could teach me what happened many years ago. The time that our
heroes fight for our freedom, true story about some of the things that we see today, etc.
I'm asking myself what if I was living at that time, what my life is? There's a lot of
questions in my mind, and I want to know the answers to my questions. Now, I need to
find out some legit sources that could help me to see the answers in my question.

Historians are one of those who gather information about what happened in the past.
They tell us the true story of an event that is related to our history. Collecting
documents, artifacts, autobiography, and other information is their job. Sources can be
a legit one or not. It depends on where we get the information.

There are two kinds of sources the primary sources and secondary sources. In the
study of history as an academic discipline, the primary source is an artifact, documents,
manuscripts, autobiography, recording, etc. That created at the time of understudy. It
serves as the source of information about the topic. The secondary source is a
document or recording that relates or discusses information originally presented
elsewhere. A secondary source is one that gives information about the primary source.

Primary and secondary sources are useful, not only in assignments or thesis but also in
our lives. As a student, the primary and secondary source is helpful, because it helps
me to answer my homework and discover something that I didn't know before. As a
citizen, I can share some facts that I know to educate them or to increase their
knowledge. As time goes by, we can discover many things that would be contributing to
our history. I know all of us can be the source.

Nowadays, there's a lot of sources that we can find, social media, encyclopedia,
textbooks, political commentary, and many more. But always remember to choose the
right source. It's better to discovering something on your own than to rely on others. In
this world, there's a lot of things that are unsolved and not yet find out. In the future, I
know in myself that day I'm one of who will be the source that contributes to history.
3.
In our country, we can see a lot of improvement. Roads, houses, buildings, and many
more, but what happened first before we see all these improvements? There's a
question in my mind, what happened 150 years ago? I couldn't imagine what the place
looks like at that time. Anywhere I go, I know there's a story behind that. A story behind
the past is the story that changed the world. They say we need to learn in our previous
life. Now, I need to know what happened many years ago.

History is the study of the past. Events occurring before the invention of the writing
system are considered prehistory. History is an umbrella term that relates to past events
as well as memory, discovery, collection, presentation, interpretation of information
about these events. History is known as the account of the past of a person through
written documents and historical evidence. It's from the Greek word history, which
means knowledge acquired through inquiry and investigation.

Our history is important because it's one of the solutions that we can use in the present
problems today, and this is the way to open our eyes to the reality that we need to fight
for our country. As a citizen of this country, the history of the Philippines is meaningful to
me. It taught me how to fight for my rights, and I realized that I was lucky that I was born
here in the Philippines. I want all of us to know how history great is it serves as a lesson
to our past and us to be as one. Remember, history is part of what we are today.

Past, Present, and Future are the different eras of time. There is a saying that yesterday
is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That's why it is called present. May
this present be a memorable and unforgettable one so that in the future, we can say
that our past is historical. Don’t forget these two things. First, history without a story is
nothing, and the second one without history, we are nothing.
