Vogel and Fetkovich’s Method

Question\ Construct IPR of a well in a saturated oil reservoir using both Vogel’s equation and
Fetkovich’s equation. The following data are given:

Reservoir pressure, 𝑷R = 3,000 𝒑𝒔𝒊

Tested flowing bottom-hole pressure, 𝑷𝒘𝒇𝟏 = 𝟐, 𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝒑𝒔𝒊𝒂

Tested production rate at 𝑷𝒘𝒇𝟏, (𝒒𝟏) = 500 stb/day

Tested flowing bottom-hole pressure, 𝑷𝒘𝒇𝟐 = 𝟏, 𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝒑𝒔𝒊𝒂

Tested production rate at 𝑷𝒘𝒇𝟐 (𝒒𝟐) = 800 stb/day

Solution\ a. Vogels Method

the reservoir is saturated oil reservoir. Also, Pr≤ pb , Pwf (1,2)< Pb

The flow is laminar as bubbles has not liberate form the oil and not causing any turbulence.
