3. PREVENTIVE MEASURES AND HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS


Use PPE when using the substance. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open
flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Use explosion-proof electrical,
ventilating, lighting and material handling equipment. Use only non-sparking tools. Keep
container tightly closed. Do not breathe vapor or spray. Do not eat, drink or smoke when
using this product. Use only outdoors or in well-ventilated area.
4. EMERGENCY PROCEDURE
Accidental Release
Stop leak if without risk. Move containers from spill area. Use spark proof tools and
explosion-proof equipment. Dilute with water and mop if water soluble. Alternatively if
water-insoluble, absorb with an inert dry material and place in appropriate waste disposal
container and dispose of via licensed waste disposal contractor. Avoid dispersal of spilt
material and runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers.
Fire-fighting Measures
Use foam, water spray, dry powder, CO2 as extinguishing media. Never use water jet.
5. FIRST AID
Inhalation
Move to fresh air. Keep person warm and rest. If breathing is irregular or if respiratory
arrest occurs, provide artificial respiration or oxygen by trained personnel. Immediately call
a physician.
Eye Contact
Immediately flush eye with running water for at least 15 min, keeping eyelids open. Seek
immediate medical attention.
Skin Contact
Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with water or use
recognized skin cleanser. Do use solvents or thinners.
Ingestion
If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show the container or label. Do not
induce vomiting. Keep person warm and at rest.
6. DISPOSAL
The generation of waste should be avoided or minimized whenever possible. Waste
packaging should be recycled. Incineration or landfill should only be considered when
recycling is not feasible.
