SUBTOPIC SAVING ENERGY AT SCHOOL

For the research Interview with a company named Forex. Interviewee’s name is Chaya Anand ,
age 45 years . Permission granted, for mentioning their name, age , publishing the outcomes of the
research and for recording the interview.

The 1st question is What measures has your company taken as any other commercial office to
save energy? The answer given is that the company saves energy by utilizing the electricity .The
company has made a rule that beyond 7 p.m. all the lights , A.C everything will be switched off as it
will be far past their working time and they cannot be wasting the energy . Moreover they have
stopped taking printouts, it consumed a lot of energy on a daily basis as there were many copies to
be made. They only use soft copies and online signatures and letters.

The next question is How much energy does your company consume annually and how much
energy has been saved after carrying out the measures? The company would consume 5 kilowatt-
hours of electricity annually and they could save 25% of energy.

The last question asked is that Is your company deciding to take any more measures to save
energy in the future? Due to the rise in Covid-19 cases in Mumbai , employees are going to work
from home and they need to come to the office only once a week . This measure will automatically
help in saving huge amounts of energy.
