Activity 3: Cut the String

Do the activity below. Answer the questions that follow.

Materials:

 One piece string (2 meters in length)

 Pair of scissors

Steps:

a. Get the string.

b. Fold the string into two equal parts and then cut in the middle. How many strings of equal length do you have?
Enter the answer in the table below.
c. Again, fold each of the strings equally and then cut. How many strings of equal length do you have?
d. Continue the process until the table is completely filled-up.
