NARRATIVE REPORT OF GRADE II LEVEL
Oral Reading Competition
December 7, 2021

There were 11 contestants in all, representing the sections of Grade II level. Pupils entered DCP room
according to the number they had drawn. The rest of the contestants waited outside. This is made to follow the
social distancing protocols. The judges seated on their places are Mr. Yolan Zea, Mr. Bayani Roturas, Mrs.
Rosario G. Reyes and Mr. Reymund P. Cabatuan as chairman of the board. There is also the presence of Mrs.
Joy Pangan the school reading coordinator. Mr. Ryan Z. Roa gave instructuion to the pupil infront of the camera
counting 1, 2, 3 action!
Although this is the first time that each pupils faces and reads infront of a camera. They are very brave
little readers more than their age of seven. Without the use of microphone they read the story loud and clear.
But there are also pupils who are shy and nervous as they read in faltering inaudible voice. What has to be
improved is the correct handling of the book while reading, so not to cover their face. Glancing up to the
audience every now and then is also important. Facial expressions, good pronunciation, exclamatory marks are
a must.
The support of the mother/ father was very touching that even to the very actual day of the competition
hands are trembling cold as they take pictures of his child. With regards to the Grade two level force, helping
one another of an assigned task was evident under the leadership of Mrs. Maria Luisa G. Absin, Grade 2 Level
Master Teacher-I and Mrs. Hazel L. Dagatan, Grade 2 Grade Leader. The affair ended with colors.

The following are the winners of both English and Filipino Oral Reading Contest. The rest received the
consolation prize with their parent.
