different levels. These two teachers who accompanied us to see the school buildings are both
Master Teachers. The school has eighteen (18) hardworking teachers and
four hundred nineteen (419) strong learners amidst this pandemic. The
school campus has eighteen (18) instructional rooms wherein they have free
internet access per room, office room, canteen, computer room, library,
home economics (h.e) room, and two (2) clinic rooms. They also have
spacious backyard, a playground where the kids can play, the school have
also handwashing area and have access in closed-circuit television (cctv) for
the security of the school. Since its pandemic, the classroom is not well
organized because they have no face-to-face class, so I interviewed my
cooperating teacher. According to her, primary classrooms have wider space
than intermediate ones. They have more visual instructional designs like
murals, charts, illustrations, etc. Desks and lower chairs are being used by
primary while higher armchairs are for the intermediate ones. Blackboards
for primary have linings while none for intermediate. Colorful
painting/designs are evident in primary while simple/plain for intermediate.

attentively greeting their teacher. Learners also well prepared for their
online class. They are also attentively answer the question of their teacher.
As go on the class, I am very amaze because the learners read very well not
like some other learners of other school. Amidst this pandemic, I can see the
learners of this school has the eager to learn even though there are many
troubles for having their online class because of the unstable internet
connection but in the end, they have successfully finished their class on what
teacher Hermano impart learning to them.
4. Learner’s Development and Recalling characteristic Mrs. Divina R. Hermano, a grade two teacher conducts an online class for
Instruction of learners in the her learner’s. In this episode, we observe the key events on how to deliver
different stage of her lesson. As I observe, teacher Hermano, greet her learners while preparing
cognitive development. her online class to entertain the learners and asked if they ready for class so
that her learners isn’t get bored. To start the class, teacher Hermano conduct
a warm prayer to have faith and be thankful for this day behind this
pandemic. Teacher Hermano also set her online classroom rules to be able to
prevent some distraction while she is on discussing the lesson. She also uses
learner’s mentally strategy to present a new lesson. I can also see the content
of her lesson connects into real life situation. As go on the class, teacher
Hermano delivered her class discussion in a systematic way, gives more
example, and gives appreciation to the answer of her learner’s. For their
assessment, teacher Hermano give them assessment good for 5 minutes to be
able to enhance their mentality through solving problems. After that they
checked it their answers, she also asked her learners what scores they get
during their assessment to determine if they understand the lesson. She asked
also if there are some clarifications so that she can explain it to her learners.
In summary of this observation, teacher Hermano very well delivered her
lesson. She also gives appreciation to the parents of her learner’s for guiding
their children for their online class. The online class are so interesting, and
the learners have fun because of the strategy she used.
5. The Teachers as a Data exploration from In this episode, I interviewed my cooperating teacher on what are the

his/her level. Differentiated activities must be given to them. Second,
teaching or delivery of the must be interactively or lively. primary learners
have shorter attention span that’s why they must be given plenty of
interactive activities for them be focused and not be bored. And lastly,
mastery is the key. Since they are still in the primary, learning and mastering
the basis is a must. They need to assure that everybody must know the
fundamentals like recognizing the alphabet, reading, writing in cursive
forms, memorizing multiplication table, etc. These skills are very useful for
them to cope with the lesson when they will reach intermediate.

they lack the confidence to perform in groups. While they may not be as

materials with progressively harder tasks to grow. A learner with fast ability
may not present any immediate concerns for teachers or parents but teacher

My Reflection
When I first entered Sarrat North Central School, I was unsure of how I would fit into world of education as a teacher. After my
observation was done, I changed my view of this and knew that I would make a great teacher. I was able to learn many different things
that will be helpful to me when I get hired as an educator someday. Although I will have to face many challenges in the field, I possess
many of the strength it takes to be a good teacher. There were many times during the week that gave me a great idea of how that
everyday life of a teacher would go. Overall, it was a great experience for me, and I learned a lot about myself and the school whom I
assigned.
During my time in the observation, I felt very uncomfortable being around with the learners. As a teacher it is very important to
feel comfortable in your work environment because if you don’t it will be nearly impossible for you to your job in a successful manner.
It was a great experience being around the learners and being able to help them, which is one of the main reasons for why I want to
become involved in the profession. The classroom environment was a very inconsistent one and usually depended on how the learners
acted. If the learners were well behaved it was very positive and constructive, but if the learners were acting up it was exactly the
opposite. Overall, the classroom environment was set up to give each learners the best possible chance they had to succeed. Throughout
my observation there were many interactions between the learners and teacher, either being positive, or negative. During a lesson when
all the learners were able to stay engaged the interactions would be positive. The teacher would ask questions during the lectures and as
the learners were able to answer the questions correctly, or at least try, the relationship was remained positive.
I believe that I will face many challenges as I enter the profession of teaching, but who wouldn’t with a job that requires
working with others. To face those challenges, strength of mine would be me being a great leader and able to direct his or her learners in
the right decision. Being a good speaker will also help in my teaching because most of my job will consist of me communicating with
my students. Lastly, my creativity will be a good strength to have as a teacher making every day different for my learners.
I have learned many different key teaching components throughout my observation. Whether it be how to run a classroom, or setting up
a positive classroom environment, I now know a lot more than I did. Someday when I do reach my goal of becoming a teacher, I hope to
apply some of the things I have learned from experience to create successful classroom and environment.
To my cooperating teachers, school principal and teachers of Sarrat North Central School, I am warmly thanking you for
mentoring me and taking me on as a student teacher. Thank you so much for providing me with this wonderful opportunity. It was a truly
a great experience for me. I have learned such a great deal about teaching during my time with you. You are an outstanding teacher. The
learners love you for innovative with your teaching styles. I can’t thank you enough for giving me your valuable time and guidance. This
experience has made me quite confident about engaging with learners in best possible ways.
