Contents:

1. Core Contents of the meeting

1. The SDE instructed the contractor to change cement brand and engage skilled manpower
during the concrete pouring work.

2. The contractor should provide the adequate manpower and catchup the delay work.

3. The contractor will provide the working schedule on 31st August.

4. Steel Material will arrive at workshop on next Sunday confirmed by contractor representative. SDE
want to visit the workshop & check material quality before fabrication.

5. The position of the anchoring of column will not maintain uniform line due to the obstacle of existing
rebar and some drilling point was not achieved desire depth.

6. SDE will discuss with structural engineer regarding the anchoring problem of existing column
position.

7. SDE instructed to keep the document of the anchoring position of actual beam-column and
share with the fabricator before fixing shear stud.

8. The SDE instructed the contractor to ensure the safety environment and to be concern about the
proper scaffolding works.

1. General discussion

• Regarding the concrete test result, Md. Shohel Rana (PE-BSPP) said that concrete
cylinder test result of the last few batch was found unsatisfactory according to the design
strength. Engr. Nazmul Hasan Hera (SDE-PWD) suggested changing the cement brand
from the next concrete casting and ordered to engage efficient manpower during the cast
& cylinder preparation work. He also said that concrete test result below the specification
was not accepted and contractor must take action and improve the condition.

• Md. Shohel Rana (PE-BSPP) said that the work progress was very slow of last two week
and the contractor should accelerate the progress of the work. Engr. Nazmul Hasan
Hera (SDE-PWD) told the contractor to engage adequate manpower and catch-up the
delay works. Md. Mustafezur Rahman (Contractor Engineer) said that they already
engaged adequate manpower at site and tried to catch-up the delay work with two
weeks.

• Engr. Nazmul Hasan Hera (SDE-PWD) ordered the contractor to provide a working
schedule including the steel fabrication plan. The contractor representative said that he
could provide schedule on 31st August.

• Regarding the steel work progress, the contractor said that they already placed ordered
steel angle to the manufacturer and next 30 th august materials will be arrived at
workshop. Engr. Nazmul Hasan Hera (SDE-PWD) said that we would be visit the
workshop and check the angel size and dimension before the fabrication.

• Regarding the anchoring work, the contractor representative said that they are faced
problem in the drilling work and some of the drilling in existing column indicated main re-
bar after 200 mm drill. This problem will be more when they are started drilling from the
both direction of the column. The position of the drill hole would not be same in the
column and maintaining spacing was very tuff. Engr. Nazmul Hasan Hera (SDE-PWD)
said that drilling position would be variable because the column size was 375mm width
and the drill depth was 250 mm on both sides. He said that he will discuss this issue with
the structural engineer and share the information later.

• Regarding the shear stud position on the steel frame, Engr. Nazmul Hasan Hera (SDE-
PWD) said that anchoring position may vary in every beam & column position and the
contractor should share the actual information to the fabricator. He also suggested make
drawing of the anchoring position of every beam- column and supplied the document to
the fabricator. Fabricator will fix the position of the shear stud according to the supplied
drawing otherwise it will create hassle. The contractor said that he will properly

communicate with the fabricator.

• Md. Shohel Rana (PE-BSPP) said that the contractor should provide adequate safety
materials to the worker and prepare a safe working platform for worker & engineer to
ensuring quality control. Engr. Nazmul Hasan Hera (SDE-PWD) advised the contractor
to ensure the safety environment and to be concern about the proper scaffolding works.
