CATCH-UPPLAN
The procurementof ICT equipment, specifically the desktop and laptop computers,from the
Departmentof Budget and Management(DBIO is ongoing. Printers and other ICT equipment
areto be procuredfrom other suppliersthrough the bidding process.Hence,funds for theseitems
will be fully utilizedwithin the monthof September2016.

Constructionof the processingplant for the "Field-testingof ths IntegratedGold-CopperMineral

ProcessingPilot Plant in Caraga"project is still ongoing. It is implementedby the University of
the Philippines.DOST-Caragafunds intendedfor the maintenanceand other operatingexpenses
of the project will only be utilized upon completionof the processingplant.

The completion of the fabrication of cages and fences for the early warning devices of the
DisasterRisk Reduction-relatedprojects in the region has been extendedand are expectedto be
completedby the third week of September2016. Installation of newly delivered sensorsto the
Provincesof Agusan del Norte, Surigaodel Norte and Surigaodel Sur have been re-scheduled.
Targetinstallationdateshave beenset on the third week of October2016.

For the SETUP Continuing Appropriations,majority of Caraga'sMSMEs are micro enterprises.

Theseenterprisesrequire small investmenttaking also into considerationtheir capacityto refund
the assistanceon a specified period of time. However, efforts are made to come up with big
ticket projectsto fully utilize the funds.

All other activities including proposalreview, approvaland implementationof GIA projects are
fait trackedto achievethe fund utilization targetsby the end of the 3'd Quarter.
