Introduction

Henry Chan
Management Consultant, Accenture
Business Mentor, Crimson Education

Born and raised in New Zealand and now based in Sydney, Henry works as a Management
Consultant at Global Fortune 500 company Accenture.

Working within the Strategy & Consulting division, Henry is primarily aligned to the Banking
Practice whom clientele include 84% of the top 50 banks worldwide. Projects conducted by
Accenture have included Market Entry Proposals, Business Strategy overhauls, transformation
projects and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Shirley Yin
Research Consultant, InSites Consulting
Business Mentor, Crimson Education

Based in Sydney, Shirley is a hybrid research consultant at the global market research agency,
InSites Consulting.

Specialising in both qualitative and quantitative research, Shirley has experience in projects across
many different sectors, including FMCG, food and beverage, pharma and banking and financial
services. Her core field of expertise lies within the FMCG sector, where she works for renowned
brands such as Ferrero, Nestle, Arnott's and Pernod Ricard Wines.

Catherin Chen
Investment Banker

Based in Sydney, Catherin has had various work experiences ranging from investment banking to
consulting. She has experience in areas such as asset management and consulting at PwC and
experience as an investment banking and market analyst at JPMorgan and Macquarie Capital.

For your upcoming internship, she will primarily be facilitating the running of the case study.

Janice Lim Jun Jing


Portfolio Manager

Janice is a former investment banker, corporate finance professional with more than 5 years of work
experience in mergers and acquisitions finance. She is currently a portfolio manager in a private
equity hedge fund, focusing on capital markets and trading various financial instruments.

In 2021, Janice joined Crimson Global Academy as the first extracurricular club advisor and trainer
for Investments, organizing the annual Crimson Stock Market Global Challenge. Janice enjoys
mentoring high school students and has been tutoring high school and GCSE A Level Math for more
than 10 years.

Jamie Beaton
CEO, Crimson Education

Jamie Beaton is the co-founder and CEO of Crimson Education, the world’s leading US and UK
university admissions support company.

Jamie Beaton founded Crimson in 2013 after applying to 25 of the world’s best universities and
being accepted to all of them. What began as Beaton’s desire to help his friends achieve similar
college admissions success grew into a global education technology company with some of the best
student admissions success rates in the world.

Akash Saraf
Audit Director at PwC Australia
Akash is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with significant experience in
the area of auditing, financial reporting matters and corporate governance of various public and
private companies with primary focus on Technology, Oil and gas, Retail and Manufacturing
Industry.

market from a strategic perspective?”
• 2. Grow -”What future technologies can you recommend for Tesla to remain
competitive and achieve its strategic goals”

General information

• Judges will be from PwC


• Teams will be randomly allocated by the end of this session
• Presentations should be no longer than 9 minutes; followed by ~3 minutes of
Q&A
• Presentations should be no longer than 12 slides (excluding appendix, title pages
and dividers)
• Presentation slides to be submitted in PDF format; models must be submitted in
excel format
• Any further questions can be addressed to your business mentors

Tips for creating your deck

• Maximum of 12 slides
• Avoid using font sizes smaller than 11 pt
• Make sure there is no overflow outside of the slide
• Try to keep formatting consistent throughout your deck
• File name should be saved as team name
• Back up your arguments with evidence - take data and craft it into effective
visuals to support your points
