Let us take into account the learners multiple intelligence and learning styles in
assessment. Give various assessment techniques in order to cater individual differences.
These lines touch my heart as a student who can't clearly express her own ideas
verbally. There are instances in our classroom where our teacher is asking about a
certain topic of the day, I want to raise my hand and share my idea but when as I was to
do it, the teacher ignore me and look to my active classmate and let her take the spot
light. My point here is, the teacher should let his/her students share their ideas freely,
she/he shouldn't focused on the active one. Teachers should let students recite and
express their thoughts and ideas.

learn.

As a student, I fear to be friends with teachers because they might scold me in any way
possible. But when I met Maam Donna, my perspective of a teacher changed. She is more

In an Araling Panlipunan class, the learners need to discuss the
different land and water forms. The teacher decided to use
alternative assessment instead of selected response tests.
Learners were required to come up with a portfolio which
contains their writings about land forms and water forms.

order to organize the activities of their
students.

Ms. Collado, a Math teacher, would like her learners to create a
video environment. She looked into the strengths and
