Stage 1: Pre-Assessment Data Collection
IDENTCO assigns a dedicated team of cross-
functional experts to your business. This team will
conduct interviews to gain an understanding of
your unique printed parts environment. During
this stage, we focus on identifying your label
performance and agency compliance
requirements, and sharing insight on the
challenges peers in your industry face daily.
Stage 2: Onsite Plant Assessment
A team of IDENTCO Application Engineers
conducts an onsite assessment of your plant. Our
AE’s meet with key stakeholders, which typically
include:
• Engineering
• Production Management
• Quality
• Procurement
• Warehousing
• All other stakeholders involved in printed parts
During a plant walkthrough, we review and
document label storage sites and protocols;
dispensing methods and equipment; application
sites, surfaces, methods, and equipment; final
product appearance and packaging; and Shipping
& Receiving. We interview operators who interact
with printed production parts on a regular basis
and collect multiple samples for in-depth review.
Stage 3: Data Entry/Specification Organization
The collected information and samples are
carefully analyzed by the IVAL team to confirm the
original opportunities for cost reduction identified
in Stages 1 and 2.
By more closely analyzing a cross-section of your
printed production part spend and comparing
samples to engineering specification
requirements, we are able to verify and quantify
the actual savings potential.

Stage 4: Cost Reduction Project Identification
The outcome of this detailed analysis is a project-
by-project roster of significant cost reduction
opportunities. We employ a standardized report
that captures the current scenario, our Application
Optimization™ recommendations, detailed
improvement opportunities, and suggested
processes to implement our recommendations.
Stage 5: Formalized Savings Report & Proposal
At this stage, we deliver a step-by-step summary
documenting the hard dollar impact of each
project. hard dollar. These reports are reviewed
and refined throughout project implementation at
regularly scheduled intervals. Typically, these are
presented on a quarterly basis during the first
year, then adjusted to an agreed upon frequency.
Stage 6: Project-Based Implementation
Finally, the most rewarding part of the entire
process, when projects identified in Stage 4 are
selected for execution. Project Managers from
both parties collaborate to prioritize part
transitions in the most effective manner. Plans for
designs and proof approvals and PPAP
procedures are established for all applicable
parts, including a complete analysis of each part
to ensure compliance with all specification and
performance requirements. This level of
engagement and teamwork from the IVAL support
team continues throughout the implementation
to ensure smooth and seamless transitions of
production parts.
