EUMIND GO GREEN 2

Group 3 – My Green Meal

Comparison and Reflection

COMPARISON
It was observed that in India there is more consumption of greens and
has a lower carbon footprint due to more local and seasonally
available food because of which transport and packaging is less.

Whereas in the country of our Dutch counterparts, there is more

consumption of red meat and fish and has a higher carbon footprint
due to more packaged and canned food.

REFLECTION
Aashi:- EUMIND has been an interesting journey. We now have a new
perspective on saving the environment through meals. EUMIND has
shown us how we can lead ourselves to a better future. I learnt a lot of
leadership skills along the way. My group was cooperative and we
worked well together. I also improved my e-skills a lot. As a group
leader, it was my responsibility to communicate all the instructions
given by the teachers to my group members. Our group had managed
to divide the tasks equally and fairly among ourselves so none of us
were burdened. Overall, it was an eye-opening experience and I'm
sure EUMIND will keep coming up with new and interesting topics for
the coming years.

Vedanti:-The EUMIND project gave me an opportunity to step out of the

daily routine and come to a world of different categories. In this
pandemic time when all of us were sitting at home hoping for this time to
pass, EUMIND gave us an opportunity to learn new things that are
useful and can be easily implemented for a better world. EUMIND also
taught us new things related to the environment and nature.
Kaavya:-The video conferences went extremely well even though all
of us were quite nervous in the beginning; we were pretty scared and
afraid to speak but after just a minute or so we had settled down our
nerves and had a wonderful discussion. Even researching and
interviewing different people from different professions and
backgrounds was so fun filled and informative.

Ashutosh:- As a group, we have truly become attached to this project!

We have put in our dedication and efforts to gather information and
spread awareness. The best part was that we had an amazing time;
we managed to invoke a sense of self-awareness not only in others
but in ourselves as well! We hope to stay in touch with the friends we
have made in the Netherlands, through our WhatsApp group and also
get a chance to be a part of this project in the future again.

Tanisi:-This entire project was a smart way for us to learn more about
our own culture. We actively participated in understanding different
perspectives of several people on the same topic. We have learnt how
a huge difference can be made by all of us so easily, just by effectively
managing our food consumption. The entire experience has been one
of the greatest opportunities and fun alike.

What went right?

Everything went right. The research led us to learn so many aspects
of food that we were not aware of, like high protein vegetarian food
and much more. Interviews with experts led us to gain wisdom from
their experience and knowledge. The best part was that every team
member wanted to do a task equally rather than one member doing
one particular job and with this we all were happy with the end result.
What could have been done differently?
Though we are quite satisfied with the result of our research and the
end result of our project, on hindsight, we realise that a few areas
could have been even better. We could have added a separate slide in
our Introductory Video showcasing our hobbies. Foe example, if my
hobby is drawing then I could have added a slide showcasing my
drawings. Other than that, everything took place as we kept planning
them. It couldn’t have been any different.
