PEOPLE’S PERCEPTION We conducted an internet survey, and they stated that if we want to lessen the negative effects of transportation in the Philippines, we may just walk if the destination is close. This results in less noise, less air pollution, and fewer emissions that contribute to global warming. We may assist to conserve our green areas by emphasizing their value to communities, as well as to plants and wildlife, or by riding a bicycle. Changing our poor habits will get us closer to living more environmentally friendly lifestyles. The first benefit of biking is that it reduces pollutants in the air. Bicycling, on the other hand, consumes very little fossil fuel. As a result, riding a bike is a pollution-free way of transportation. However, as we all know, when it comes to transportation restrictions, the majority of Filipinos are stubborn. Thus, rules must be followed for maintaining discipline on the roads, and above all for our own safety. The only solution to avoid these accidents we should follow the rules which are made for traffic control, only by this we will learn the importance of traffic rules in our life. The rules are there to keep us safe, and following them is in our own interest PEOPLE’S PERCEPTION Road-based modes such as jeepneys, Regional utility vehicles, taxis, tricycles, and pedicabs dominate urban public transportation in the Philippines, with some providing door-to-door service. Many of the city's road networks are insufficient and badly maintained. When opposed to private automobiles, public transit provides travelers with a handy way to get to their destination faster and for less money. However, in Metro Manila, this is not always the case because many Filipinos have a poor image of public transit. Jeepneys are the most common means of public transportation in the Philippines, and they have also become a symbol of the country's culture. GENERAL FINDINGS OF THE GROUP/ CONCLUSION Despite reasons such as increased traffic and rising maintenance costs, many Filipinos continue to prioritize purchasing a car. Purchasing a vehicle is a significant investment. Thus according to our survey, the majority of those we questioned owned a personal or own car for their own transportation. Convenience is one of the most essential benefits of owning a car. you will always have a seat, and you will be able to complete your journey without having to change platforms. However, because we all know that vehicles may pollute the air, there are additional drawbacks. Petrol prices usually rise, and very rarely fall, even when global fuel costs fall. This is also a recurring cost; a car is worthless without gasoline. Choosing a car with a smaller engine can save money on gas, and contemporary automobiles are also meant to be more fuel efficient, but as I previously stated, modern cars are more expensive up front. RECOMMENDATION Transportation-related air pollution is one of the leading causes of poor air quality. Premature mortality, heart symptoms, asthma aggravation, reduced lung function, increased hospitalization, and other unfavorable health impacts have all been related to exposure to traffic pollution. In urban areas, automobiles are a substantial cause of air pollution. Public transportation reduces the need for singleoccupancy vehicle trips, reduces automobile emissions, increases incidental physical activity, and provides essential transportation access for people with physical, economic, or other limitations that prevent them from accessing and using a single-occupancy vehicle. To increase access for all individuals, policies that stimulate the development of public transportation infrastructure are required. By providing safe and convenient walking and bicycle facilities, active transportation networks should connect the locations where people live, learn, work, shop, and play. As more individuals choose active transportation, the safety of all road users may improve. In certain cases, a solution to one problem may worsen the occurrence of another. Active transportation, for example, enhances overall health by providing physical exercise and lowering emissions; nevertheless, our existing transportation system's reliance on automobile travel causes walkers and bikers to suffer disproportionately from injuries. As a result, if protective and alternate mode infrastructure and regulations are not constructed concurrently, increasing active transportation may increase the absolute number of injuries. Furthermore, while reducing vehicle size and weight and boosting use of new vehicle technology can cut greenhouse gas and other pollutants, it may also result in more injuries from auto accidents and have other negative consequences for environmental health
