Title of Project: Disaster Training Among DRRM Personnel

Background
Philippines, our beloved country as being aligned and placed into the Pacific Ring of Fire or the what so
called seismically active belt of various natural disasters. Over the years, different regions frequently
experienced typhoons, unprecedented earthquakes and volcanic eruption those brought allot of devastating
impacts towards none other than to us, Filipinos. There were destruction of properties, loss of financial
resources, personal injuries and illnesses or even loss of lives. With this, conducting of different systematic
and informative programs and conferences are so vital most especially for those who are in a public service,
the authorized persons to lead and mitigate various skilled approaches in response to any natural disasters
that we may encounter in the future. Nevertheless, these programs will contribute in building a prepared and
community- ready to face any catastrophic events.
Objectives
1. Awareness on basic knowledge in terms of responding to any disastrous events.
2. To train DRRM personnel in actual implementation of skilled - works in response to different natural
disasters.
3. Enhance the physical abilities and intellectual aspects of DRRM personnel through practicing strategical
approaches to respond certain hazardous activity.
Scope
Participants coming from the DRRM office will gain much more knowledgeable learnings in terms of
responding to any disasters the community may face and encounter in. Here, their skills and abilities both
intellectual and skill-based practice will be deleveloped and be enhanced at the same time through providing
actual teaching and demonstration those will be given by the distinguished and professional resource
speakers.

Timeframe
Their three- day stay to the conference will be concluded by the following teachings and demonstration.

Project Budget
For every participant, allotment of Php. 8,000 pesos, concluding their stay of 3 days and 2 nights in the
selected venue. However, this sums the hotel accomodation, meals and transportation. As part of this, there
will also personal kits, such as alcohol and face masks for the delegates to serves as their souvenirs and
hygienal protection. Preferably, there will also be provided training t- shirts to uniformly aknowledge them.
Hence, to give heartfelt appreciation to the distinguish panel of resource speak ers, the organization includes
honorarium and tokens for them.

Monitoring and Evaluation


Systematized procedures and processes will be done effectively prior to the expected outcomes of this
project. As for the results, this will be determined and thoroughly evaluated through the development and
improvement of every participant specifically in terms of responding to a certain natural event. Hence, the
enrichment of their knowledge throughout every lectures that will be provided for them. Subsequently, the
immense impact and growth for the DRRM office of the Municipality of Victoria itself.
To illustrate, the resource speakers may allot time for question and answer at the end of each of their
discussion or teachings to enlight every participants and ask what terms and procedures for them bring
confusion, so that those can be addressed immediately. They may also ask for some volunteers who would
confidently demonstrate on their own every procedures they’ve learned.
