From June 1st NSW is “opening its doors” to travel throughout the state following the easing
of restrictions due to COVID19.
Your mission is to undertake some research & present some findings about destinations &
activities in NSW that may be of interest to you & your fellow students.

Research Task 1
https://www.destinationnsw.com.au/

Blue Mountain

I would like to explore The Blue Mountains because it is perfect for exploring the best that
NSW has to offer such as The Three Sisters at Echo Point, bushwalking, galleries, dining,
shopping, day spas, golf, and numerous attractions.

When I was in Blue Mountain and I saw big market with 60 stalls selling the best produce the
region has to offer such as fruits, veggies, eggs, meats, bread, cheeses, olive and wine. I have
been to the one restaurant called Leura Garage which is very special because the ingredients
are grown in the garden out back. The most popular one item was a six-cheese pizza.

It is easy to feel part of the Blue Mountains community. Each village has a unique offering, a
laid-back welcoming atmosphere. I went to Blue Mountains Cultural Central where I saw
Mountain Art Gallery and Katoomba Library and many other screenings, artists talk and
workshop.

When you are having a good break in this beautiful place, you got to visit the award wining
Scandinave Spa Blue Mountain which offers the unique Scandinavian Baths experience
which includes Sauna, Eucalyptus Steam Room, Thermal & Nordic Waterfalls, Cold Plunges,
Fireplaces and expansive indoor and outdoor Relaxation Areas. It was worth spending the
money.
