WHAT DO YOU THINK ARE THE REASONS THAT WE SHOULD STUDY ETHICS?

Ethics relates to society’s perception to proper way to live our daily lives. It accomplishes this by
constructing a set of laws, principles, and values upon which we can conduct ourselves. The reasons why
we should study ethics is, first, it enables us to critically examine our own lives and determine whether
our activities are beneficial to us or potentially harmful to others. It helps a person to understand who
he truly is, what is his life purpose, and what he needs to do to achieve it. Studying ethics helps us to
understand what morality is. It explains our moral perspective when we make judgments in our lives. It
broadens our views, making us more introspective and better in making judgement. It taught us on how
to deal with the moral issues not only in our own group but also to our society. It also educates us on
what we should do when we encounter ethical dilemmas. In conclusion, ethics train us especially our
mind to think what is the best for us and for others. It teaches us on how we should live our life, how we
should act, treat others and how we should deal with the decision making that we do. It shapes us to
become a well rounded person who is fit in our society.
