THE COMPOSTING PROCESS

Home composting is a process considers that the typical household garbage that is

composed by food and garden waste in almost a half, can be used to obtain a product

necessary in the soil of orchards and gardens.

The people that growing their own food. It has been reported that is safer and healthier and

in addition, the process reduce the economic and environmental costs.

To begin with, a shady place in the garden is chosen to position the compost bin. Now the

organic waste is added, has been put in layers and the same material is used in each layer,

once the organic waste is ready, the compost is maintained by keeping it moist, and it is

aerated weekly.

Finally, when the material is dark and crumbly the compost can be used. It can be dug it

into the garden or dispersed on top as mulch.
