General Description
The Zambales Diversified Metals Corporation (ZDMC) is committed to

achieving compatibility between economic development and the maintenance of the

environment. The company seek to ensure that throughout all phases of the operations

their personnel and contractors give proper consideration to the care of the land,

water, air, flora and fauna, and to the community health and heritage which may be

affected by their activities.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
In 2004, the Philippine government awarded CRAU Mineral Resources

Corporation a Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (MPSA) covering an area

of 3,875 hectares (MPSA No. 191-2004-111). It lies within the Municipalities of

Sta. Cruz and Candelaria, Province of Zambales. Geographically, it is located

within the coordinates 15⁰ 42’ North Latitude and 120⁰ 03’ 30” East Longitude. It

is some 294 kilometers away from Manila accessible via a six to seven hours land

trip. Public transport systems are readily available nearby as some bus companies

have regular routes in the province.

The property was formerly managed by Rusina Mining NL. before being taken

over by the Zambales Diversified Metals Corp. (ZDMC), which was then

controlled by ENK.

In February 2008, the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC No. 0708-

020-2150) for the Sta. Cruz-Candelaria Mining Nickel DSO Project was approved

by the DENR Secretary through the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB).

The project has a projected annual production of 1,000,000 DMT/year. The

present project operation in the MPSA involves the mining of nickel laterite ore

(limonite and saprolite) for direct shipping under the May 8, 2008 approved

Declaration of Mining Feasibility.

The transfer of ownership from Crau to Zambales Diversified Metals was

approved by the Secretary of DENR on March 2010.

On March 25, 2014, DMCI Holdings, Inc. acquired from D&A Income Ltd.

40% interest in ENK Plc for P3.1 billion and become the controlling management

of the project and upon completion of the acquisition, DMCI Holdings becomes
the registered owner of 100 percent of the outstanding capital stock of ENK. A

consortium led by DMCI Holdings completed the deal by acquiring the remaining

60-percent share in UK-listed ENK. DMCI Holdings however, decided to retain

the old name (ZDMC) for legal purposes, and DMCI Mining, as a result, becomes

a holding company in itself.

VISION AND MISSION

VISION

profitability within its mining tenements engaging in the safest and environment

friendly manner, while improving the quality of life and health of its employees and
