This course requires about 120 hrs of student’s learning time over the course of the semester. The 120 hours include the 42 hrs of meeting or in class
interaction. You must allocate and manage the balance of the hours in searching, reading the literature, writing the proposal and doing the exercises alone
and in groups. Your personal SLT may be higher or lower than one stated here. Understand your own capacity and organize accordingly.

FINAL TEST (7-23 FEBRUARY 2022)

It consists of 2 PART 4 Part A: Short Essay Questions (students are required to answer ANSWERS ALL) and Part B: Long Essay Questions students
are required to answer only ONE question for each Part B. Total marks are 65 and will be converted to 40 %. Topics covered from topic 1,2,5,6,7&8.
Time allocated is 2 HOURS.

COURSE ASSESSMENT:

1. Continuous Assessment 60%

a) Presentation and Written Report 20% (10+10)


Conduct mini presentation based on discussion questions and hands-on exercises
such as registration of trade unions, filling recognition forms, conduct collective
bargaining, preparation content of collective agreement, procedures of misconduct,
warning letter, offer letter, calculation of overtime payment etc. For each task (where
appropriate), it is preferable for the groups to provide written report as a reference.

b) Projects 20%
Training and evaluation on student’s cognitive and psychomotor skills, examples of
training and projects are academic visit or organizing event or handling seminar, talk,
and exhibition.

c) Tests 20%
