First Quarter

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of 40 minutes- discussion the students should be
able to:
A. describe the characteristics of homogeneous mixture
B. identify the mixtures that are homogeneous and;
C. explain the importance of mixtures in our day to day activity.

HOMOGENEOUS

 Homogeneous mixture-is a mixture of substances blended so thoroughly that


cannot see individual substances.
 Comes from the word “homo” which means- the same that’s why it is known as
Uniform Mixture
 Homogeneous mixture has its own characteristics.

Four characteristics of homogeneous mixture:

1. It appears a single substance.


2. Substance mix cannot be identified easily by the naked eye.
3. The whole mixture is the same phase.
4. Substances mixed cannot be separated easily.

Procedure: Add the substances in the first and second box and identify what mixtures is
it and its uses
