Grammar Focus
1- Evaluation and comparisons:

We use evaluations and comparisons to show how something is .


Evaluation with adjectives:

We use enough after the adjective and too before the adjective.

Subject+ verb+ adjective + enough+ Complement


Foe example:
1-The apartment isn't big enough for our family.
Subject+ Verb+ too+ adjective
For example:
1- The apartment is too small.
Comparisons with adjectives

We Use as adjective as

Subject+ verb+ as+ adjective+ as + the complement


For example:
1- The building isn't as quit as our old one.
2- The apartment is just as big as our old one.
Evaluation with nouns:
We Use enough before nouns and too much before nouns

1- There aren't enough windows.

For example:

Comparisons with nouns:

We Use as many count nouns as and as much non count noun as

For example:
1- We have as many bedrooms as we used to .

For example:
1- We have as much privacy as we used to.
2- Wish

We use wish + Past tense to refer to present wishes that can not be true now.

Subject+ wish+ Subject 3+ verb 2+ complement


For example:
1- I wish I had a million dollars .

That means that now I don't have a million dollar and it's impossible to have
a million dollar now. as

New vocabulary:

1-Digny: dark, dirty and in a bad condition.


2- Convenient: Comfortable
3- Cramped: Doesn't have enough space
4- Private: quite and without a lot of people
5-Run- down: In a very bad condition
6- Spacious: Large and has plenty of space
7- Rent : the money you pay to live in a house that's not yours
8- Suburb: An area that people live in and it's far away from the center of the
city
9- Capsule hotel: A hotel that has rooms that look like casules
10- Alarm clock: a clock that makes a noise at particular time to wake you
up.
11- Volunteer: to do a job without getting money because you just want to
help or improve something.
12-Criticize: to tell bad things that you don't like about someone
13- Cent: little money
14- Peso: Unit of money in the Philippines

16- Furniture: Large objects such as chairs tables
17- Waste: Unwanted materials that are left after you have used something

20- Trash cans: A large container for trash
22- Nut: a dry brown fruit inside a hard shell
23- Soap: The substance that you use to wash your body
