Unit 18.

Lesson 3 (4, 5, 6)

I. LEARNING OUTCOMES By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
1. Competences: - read the paragraph related to someone’s activity
in progress.
- read the paragraph again and use the given
words to fill in the gaps.
- write and colour answers in the worksheets.
- use the words or phares to answer someone’s
action.
2. Attitudes:
- raise their hard-working virtue through daily
activities.
- take part in group activities positively.

- Website sachmem
- Flashcards/pictures and posters (Unit 18)
- Computer, projector, worksheets, crayon.
A. Warm up 5 minutes
Aims: to get pupils ready for the lesson and to revise structure “ What are you
doing?”.
Pupils sing a song and clap their hands. Whole class
Activity 1. Read and complete. 10 minutes
Aims: Tell Ss that they are going to read the text and fill the gaps with the
appropriate words.
Step 1: Guide pupils to do the task. Whole class
Step 2: Ask student to read and do the task individually. Individual
Teacher go around and help if necessary.
Step 3: Have pupils trade their answer in pair for Pair work
correction.
Step 4: Call on some pupils to report their answers. Individual
Step 5: - Listen and give comments. Whole class
- Give correct answers:

Have the whole class read each sentence in chorus.
Activity 2. Let’s write. 10 minutes
Aims: to get pupils to read the text again and write the answers to the questions.
Step 1: Get pupils to read the questions then read the text Individual
again, underline the key words and the subjects of
the sentences to find out the correct answers.
Step 2: Guide pupils to identify Where...? (about place), Whole class
What..doing? (about someone doing something).
Step 3: Ask pupils to write their answers in the worksheets. Individual
Then colouring them.

Step 2: Give pupils time to do the task. Individual


Teacher goes around to help.
Step 3: Get pupils to change their answers with their Pair work
partners before checking.
Step 4: Call pupils to report their answer to class. Whole class
Give comment and correct answers

Get pupils to read the questions and answers in
pairs.
Activity 3. Project. 10 minutes
Aims: to get pupils to tell their classmates about what the characters in the
pictures are doing.
Step 1: Get pupils play a game “ Lucky number” Whole
Divide class into 2 teams. class
Step 2: Teacher gives the rule’s game. Whole
There are 8 numbers from 1 to 8. You choose which class
number you like. If it a question you have to give out
the answer. Your answer is right. You will get 2 point.
If it a question you have to give out the answer. Your
answer is wrong. Other team will anwer. If it is lucky
number you don’t have to give out the answer, you get
point and choose an other number. The group that have
more correct answers will be the winner.
Step 3:  Get Ss to play the game by using 5 pictures with the Group
question What is she doing?/ What is he doing? work
Step 4: Find who is winner. Whole
class
Step 5: Ask the whole class to repeat in chorus. Individual
Teacher gives feedback. Whole
