ABSTRACT
Road transport in India is very popular for various reasons, but the
conditions of the Indian roads are very poor and deplorable. The rate
of road-accidents and fatality in the country is very high. Therefore, it
is very much necessary to design the vehicle in such a way that any
crash or accident should have minimum effect on the driver.
Therefore, we are going to do the designing and analysis of a car
model so that it would have very less impact on the driver as well as
passengers.
One of the causes of road accidents is lack of effective reaction time
of the driver. Therefore, we are also going to develop an automatic
brake control safety feature in a prototype car to avoid vehicular
collisions using mechatronic systems. This system will help the driver
to prevent car collisions due to over speeding in the car by letting the
system control the braking of the car automatically.

This is achieved by calculating the distance by means of an ultrasonic

sensor, which is connected to the brake control system, triggering it
in case of emergency, thereby preventing road accidents.

For example, if there is a car in the front and the distance is too close
for the specified speed, the sensor will detect this and trigger the
brakes and control the speed if possible or will apply sudden brake in
case of emergency.
This project is focused on designing and analysis of a car chassis and
to develop a new system that can solve problem where drivers may
not be able respond quickly in case of an emergency but the automatic
brake system will stop the vehicles immediately whenever any
obstacle is nearby.
