Judge: Thank you. The defendant has been charged with the crime of driving or taking a car
belonging to someone else, without the permission of the owner. The evidence will show that a 2004
Corvette was stolen on the night of February 8th. The next day the defendant was arrested driving
the stolen car.

J: A surveillence camera located in the neighbourhood in which the plaintiff lives captured some
recordings on the night that the teft took place. In the recordings, a young adult woman is seen
entering the vechile and driving off. Upon close inspectation, it has been found out that the woman
in the recordings bears a close resemblence to you.

Ç: The theft took place in late at night. Surveillence cameras, especially in the dark, take quite low
quality videos. The woman in the recording must be someone who merely resembles me. As I said
before, I was in my home that night.

J: Mrs. Yılmaz, what caused the scratches on your arms?

J: When the stolen car was inspected, small droplets of blood were found in the driver’s seat. The lab
report showed that the blood was fresh and had splashed on the seat right at the moment of the
crash. The DNA test revealed that the blood, in fact, belongs to you.
