1. What is fitness?

One of the most crucial aspects of a healthy body is physical fitness. It serves as
the foundation for all artistic endeavors. It is the cause, a condition of general well-
being characterized by physical and mental stability.
Fitness is a condition of being physically fit and healthy in which an individual has
sufficient and enjoy life. It can be attained by having a balanced lifestyle like having a
balanced diet, routine physical exercise and adequate rest. Fitness is primarily
associated with disease prevention as it helps us control our weight, prevents
diseases and illness, improves mood, boosts energy and promotes better sleep.
Fitness is important in achieving a healthy lifestyle. It supports individual in
achieving overall well-being and prosperity. As a result, individuals are living longer
and healthier lives than their forefathers could have imagined. Health is wealth and
we must take good care of ourselves.

2. What is RICE?
Being active by doing sports and physical activities has many benefits for our
body. However, we cannot avoid to experience injuries by doing these. These injuries
are commonly caused by poor training practices, or improper gear and having no
proper warm up and stretching before engaging to various activities. On the other
hand, there is a treatment method which can help treat minor injuries caused by
performing sports and exercise called RICE method.
Rice is treatment method which means Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation.
This treatment is usually used when a person has injured a muscle, tendon or
ligament. Medical practitioners usually recommend the RICE treatment for soft
tissues in juries such as trains, sprains and bruises. This treatment method can easily
be administrated at home with some readily available equipment. It can help reduce
swelling, relieve pain and promote flexibility and healing. It is also a mainstay for
sports trainers and other athletic experts.
Injuries while performing various physical activities is unavoidable. However,
using the RICE treatment method as first aid remedy we can minimize the further
damage and improves recovery time and discomfort.
