ASSIGNMENT QUESTION
PURPOSE
The assignment is intended to provide you the opportunity to demonstrate:
Your understanding of counselling process and how these counselling stages must be
experienced and understood by every counsellor.
REQUIREMENT
Professional counselling is a safe and confidential collaboration between a qualified counsellor
and a client to promote mental health and wellbeing, enhance self-understanding, and resolve
identified concerns or problems. The counsellor and the client are active participants in the
counselling process at every stage. Throughout the process, new information is integrated, the
counselor-client relationship is developed, and progress toward achieving the counselling goals.
The counselling process is broken down into various stages from the beginning until the end.
1. Discuss all stages of the counseling process that a counselor needs to know and elaborate
each counselling stage.
2. Give examples of simulations that a counsellor needs to do to illustrate the first stage and
the last stage of the counseling process.
3. Discuss FIVE attributes of an effective counsellor and explain why are these attributes
important in the counselling session?

2. Berikan contoh simulasi yang perlu dilakukan oleh kaunselor di peringkat pertama dan

3. Bincangkan LIMA atribut yang perlu dipunyai oleh seorang kaunselor dan jelaskan
kenapakah kelima-lima atribut ini penting dalam sesi kaunseling?
