Is the new normal changing the way Filipinos live?

To live in the world is to constantly adapt. A year after the COVID-19 pandemic began out, we
have been forced to adjust to the 'new normal.' Work-from-home positions, home-schooling of students
in a new blended learning environment, lockdown and quarantine, and the mandatory wearing of face
masks and face shields in public are all cases of how the new normal changes significantly from the old
normal. For many, 2020 has already been designated as the "worst" year of the twenty-first century.
This situation has caused ripples within the personal, social, economic, and spiritual spheres. Is the new
normal changing the way Filipinos live? A recent concern that has emerged to what has been called the
“new normal,” a time frame in our lives throughout that we are now adjusting to a new normal.
However, I argue that transitioning to the 'new normal' is changing the way Filipinos live because the
COVID-19 pandemic affected our full-time positions, studies, and indeed our living environment. The
new normal is the changing way of position because of the COVID-19 pandemic, as has the way we
work, rest, and act.

The new normal is deemed to radically change the way Filipinos live because of the effect of the
coronavirus that brought destruction and despair to the people. Filipino people and citizens must adapt
to the new normal of living as this is the best way to adjust and live in the middle of the pandemic.
COVID-19 pandemic has been hard for all of us, and that we are indeed changing the way we live, which
has its own set of challenges. We can evidently see how this new normal shifts the way that we live, as
in businesses and jobs, because they put employees, workers, and laborers in an amid stay-at-home
orders throughout the country, government workers have abandoned their daily commutes to work
from dining room tables, couches, and beds in their own homes. Many people will be in this situation for
the coming years, struggling to find a way forward as barriers gradually ease. The COVID-19 pandemic
also prompted many schools and universities to implement a blended learning delivery system for
lessons. However, many educational leaders have reported that developing effective blended learning
lessons in a short period of time is stressful and difficult. When it comes to students, most of them are
having difficulty adjusting to the new learning system. Almost all people in the country are also
experiencing difficulty and hopelessness because of issues such as financial problems, a lack of food
availability, and economic status, all of which are the effects of the quarantine and lockdowns imposed
as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Everything was tough to adjust to a new normal attributed to
COVID-19, and then the new normal changed and changed again. The new normal is evolving, and there
is no specific timeline for when our lives will return to the "old normal" that many of us urge. These
occasions are evident of how new normal really changes the way Filipinos live as has the way we work,
study, and live. The new normal is a new reality and the situation that existed prior to the start of the
crisis because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Because of the different transitions to the new normal, many people find it normal and fine to
live by it. The new normal has become normal to some people because they witnessed the
pandemic recycling over many years as well as the word "new normal" and they are
accustomed to this kind of situation that has already occurred. The word "new normal" initially
appeared during the financial crisis of 2008 to refer to the profound economic, cultural, and
social transformations that resulted in tenuousness and civil unrest, influencing collaborative
conceptions and individual preferences. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this term was used
again to emphasize how the virus has altered fundamental aspects of human life. However,
some people normalize the pandemic, claiming that there are no differences in living with it
because they are attuned to it from the previous pandemic. An influenza pandemic is a previous
pandemic that resulted in a worldwide outbreak of a new influenza virus. A virus that is very
different from current and late-circulating human seasonal influenza, and it is about the same
variant as the coronavirus of the twenty-first century. Some argue that there is no transition to
the new normal because it is the same as people needing to work as usual and that there will
be a crisis. They see this new normal as another feeling of emotions caused by the coronavirus,
but they do not even perceive the changes in their way of life because they believe everything
is normal and nothing is new. Many others find no changes in their way of life in the new
normal because they were unaffected by the pandemic's impact. People who are well-
substantiated and capable of life are among those who are not adversely affected by the
pandemic. There are no changes in their way of life because they continue to live in the same
manner as before, and they do not apply enough pressure to the stage of their life in the midst
of the pandemic. They may experience minor changes, but they do not accept these as the new
normal of their lives because they are able to afford the dilemma of their issues. Not everyone
sees the new normal way of life as some people are well ready and prepared for the country's
upcoming issues and problems. "Be prepared for the future." Some people may feel fewer
changes and therefore do not worry because they are prepared for the upcoming problem. This
new normal is the transition of how life was affected by the pandemic, and it will vary on how it
affects you in relation to how you see and feel this situation.

In conclusion, because of the COVID-19 pandemic impact, our way of life has shifted, as
has the way we work, rest, and act. This pandemic has been challenging for all of us, and we are
adapting our way of life in response. Filipinos and societies must become adjust to the new
normal. The new normal is the transition of how life was affected by the pandemic, and it will
vary depending on how it affects you in relation to how you see and feel this situation. When
the new normal was implemented, we are beginning to see a way to restore life quality,
economic systems, and cultures while dealing with the new coronavirus strain. Faced with a
global crisis, we must modify, adapt, and overcome. Because the new normal is still emerging,
our immediate focus should be on addressing the complex issues that have emerged as a result
of the pandemic by emphasizing resilience, recovery, and restructuring.
