IV. Learning Concept Rondalla is a performing group that uses string
instruments such as banduria, laud, octavina,
guitar, and double bass. Its name was derived
form Spanish word rondo, which means
“serenade.” The rondalla group was first
introduced during the 19th century and became a
part of the Philippine folk music.
