INTRODUCTION

1.1 Problem Background

At this time there are so many people who start businesses by way
of entrepreneurship or open their own jobs with various fields that they can
do, in Indonesia itself there are many people who are successful by means of
entrepreneurship, although not a few of these entrepreneurs have experienced
many failures, but in the end they get success. Therefore, the authors would
like to convey some analysis obtained from several successful entrepreneurs
in Indonesia.

1.2 Understanding Of Bussinesman

Businessman or businessman is a term that is usually given by the
community to people who have their own business in certain fields or are
not employees of other companies.

1.3 How To Become A Bussisnesman

Successful entrepreneurs are hard and diligent, dare to challenge
yourself, do it because of passion, dare to take risks, successful
entrepreneurs are confident.

1.4 The Importance Of Being A Bussinesman

Can do the things he likes. Most of the successful entrepreneurs
are those who manage to determine the type of business that suits their
interests. Because while running a business, they do hobbies as well as do
work so they don't feel that they are working, but doing hobbies that are
carried out as work. That way, they can enjoy the benefits of being an
entrepreneur because for them working is also like having fun.
You can determine the profit target you want to get. One of the
motivations for someone to do business is to make a profit. Being an
entrepreneur certainly has a greater chance of becoming a millionaire
compared to those who work for other people.

THE BUSINESSMAN IN INDONESIA

2.1 Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno

Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno (born 28 June 1969) is an Indonesian

businessman, investor and politician who is the Minister of Tourism and
Creative Economy, and was the Deputy Governor of Jakarta. He was elected
along with Anies Baswedan in the 2017 Jakarta gubernatorial election after
defeating incumbent pair Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (widely known as "Ahok")
and Djarot Saiful Hidayat. He resigned the office to run as Prabowo
Subianto's running mate for the 2019 Indonesian presidential election.

Business
Sandi Uno graduated from Wichita State University in 1990 and from
George Washington University with an MBA in 1992, paid by William
Soerjadjaja, because his mother personally knew the Astra International
group founder. He began his career with Summa Bank in 1990. In 1994, he
joined MP Group Holding Limited as an investment manager. The following
year, he began working for NTI Resources Ltd in Canada and worked as an
Executive Vice President in the company. The 1997 financialcrisis hit NTI
Resources Ltd hard and caused it to go into administration, leaving him
unemployed.

In 1997, he co-founded PT. Recapital Advisors with his high school

friend, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani. the following year, he co-founded Saratoga
Capital with Edwin Soeryadjaya, son of William Soerjadjaja. Both businesses
continue to flourish today. Listed as 29th richest man in Indonesia according
to Forbes magazine in 2009,[5] he continued to grow his
businesses, buying a controlling (51%) stake in Mandala Airlines in May
2011. He was listed as 47th richest man in Indonesia according to Forbes in
2013.
In 2016, his name appeared on the list of Panama Papers, although he denies
he evaded taxes or broke the law.

Politics

He decided to leave the business world, entering politics in mid-2015. In the

period from April to July 2015, he officially resigned from various positions
in 16 subsidiaries of Saratoga and Recapital.[9] Joining the Gerindra party as
vice chairman of the board of supervisors, he was catapulted to the second
highest office after Prabowo.[10] His name began to be considered by Gerindra
to be nominated in the 2017 Jakarta gubernatorial election.
2.2 William Tanuwijaya

Biography of William Tanuwijaya

William Tanuwijaya (November 11, 1981) is an Indonesian entrepreneur.

He is the co-founder of Tokopedia, an Indonesian technology company with
a leading e-Commerce business. Tanuwijaya represents Indonesia as Young
Global Leader at World Economic Forum. In 2019, he received Satyalancana
Wira Karya or Medal of Honor from the President of Republic of Indonesia
for his contribution to Indonesia's technology and economic growth.
Tanuwijaya was born in Pematang Siantar, North Sumatra. He graduated
from high school there, and his family was the middle income who
supported his education. William went to college at Bina Nusantara
University and later studied at the Harvard Kennedy School.
To pay for college William worked part time. He worked in an internet cafe
twelve hours a day until he graduated in 2003. He then worked as a software
developer in companies including TelkomSigma and Sqiva Sistem. He later
worked as a game developer at Bolehnet. In 2006 Tanuwijaya worked as IT
and Business Development Manager at Indocom Mediatama.
In 2007 William started to build Tokopedia, He asked his friend Leontinus
Alpha Edison to join him as co-founder, an e-commerce startup that connects
Indonesian buyers and sellers for free. At the same time his father
was diagnosed with cancer. William has supported his family since that time.
William is one of the founders of Indonesia eCommerce Association (IdEA)
and serves as a member of its supervisory board.
 2.3 Gilang Widya Pramana

Biography of Gilang Juragan 99

Gilang Juragan 99 was born with the name Gilang Widya Pramana.
The man who was born on May 4, 1989 is from Probolinggo, East Java. Growing up, Gilang
continued his high school education and college in Malang. Gilang received his last education at
the university level, to be precise at the State University of Malang.
On February 7, 2013, Gilang Juragan 99 married Shandy Purnamasari. Together with his wife, a
number of other businesses havebeen successfully built.
This successful entrepreneur is not someone who was born into a rich family. His father was an
ordinary civil servant (PNS). He never thought he would become the successful entrepreneur he
is today. Even as achild, he dreamed of becoming a civil servant like his father. However, his
perseverance in building a business led him to the success he is today.
His passion for entrepreneurship has made Gilang started to build hisown business since he was a
teenager. The first business built by Crazy RichMalang turned out to be a motorcycle washing
business. The capital to buildthe business was obtained when he became a tour guide.
His car wash business is growing rapidly. A number of investors glanced at his business and
provided financial assistance. Until finally Gilang Juragan 99 managed to open many motorcycle
wash branches inseveral cities in East Java.
In addition, Gilang also has a tourism bus business under the nameJuragan 99 Trans. He is the
skipper of the transportation business.
Pioneering the world of beauty from selling products to owning theirown factory has made Gilang
and Shandy even more successful and even given the label Crazy Rich.

Biography of Jehian Panangian Sijabat

JEHIAN PANANGIAN SIJABAT, commonly called "bang ian" is an

Indonesian businessman and talent manager. born in Jakarta, may 8th 1996.
Jehian is an alumnus of ITB Department of Aerospace Engineering in 2018.
Jehian is an engineering graduate with a strong passion for entrepreneurship.

2015 was the first year for Jehian to pioneer in the world of social media with
his younger brother “Jerome Polin Sijabat” in the form of the Line Q&A
group, which is a learning account community, Jehian as CEO and managing
the Q&A business, while Jerome is a content creator on the platform. This
collaboration is still established today. And 2017 was the initial year for the
nihonggo Mantappu YouTube channel to be formed. In 2019, the Nihonggo
Mantappu channel grew rapidly, making Jehian decide to resign from his full
time job and choose a job as a foreign talent manager full time, several
overseas influencers who were handled by Jehian, namely Jerome Polin
Sijabat (Nihonggo Mantappu) and jang hansol (korean reomit).In 2019, there
are more and more influencers, including Erika Ebisawa, Turah Parthayanal,
Leonado Edwin, Maria Clarin, Takuya Ohsawa, Tomohiro Yamashita,
Sakazaki Yusuke, Ryoma Otsuka, Lukas Will, Triyana Mahadewi, and
Hitomi. Therefore, in August 2021 Jehian and his younger brother Jerome
Polin founded a talent management company called "mantappu corp", his
career in managing these influencers made Jehian and his brother successfully
enter the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list. In the same year, the brothers also
succeeded in opening a shop which was named "menantea toko". The first
store to open is located in Tomang, West Jakarta, so far there are 170 stores in
63 cities spread throughout Indonesia.

ERICK THOHIR

Early Life

Erick Thohir is a Businessman from Indonesian. And now, he is the Minister

of State Owned Enterprises in Indonesia. He was born in Jakarta,on May
30th, 1970. His father, Teddy Thohir was a businessman too, hewas a co-
owner of the automotive group Astra International.

Educational History

In 1993, Erick was graduated from Master of Business Administration in

California State University, United States. Before that, he was also graduated
in Bachelor of Arts in Glendale University.

Career

After his education in US. He go back to Indonesia and founding his first
company, Mahaka Group. Mahaka starts a business with bought the
Republika Newspaper in 2001. After that, Mahaka Group growth as a big
media company in Indonesia. In only 10 years, Mahaka Group can developing
a few media company in Indonesia like Republika (newspaper), Parents
Indonesia (magazine), JakTV (television), GenFM and Prambors (radio).
Begin a Political Career

In 2019 Election, Erick was appointed by incumbent President of Indonesia,

Mr. Joko Widodo as a Chairman of Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin National Campaign
Team. And then, he is sucess to bring Jokowi to his second period of
Indonesian President and directly increase Erick name to one of the minister
candidates of Jokowi Cabinet.

In 2019, he is officially appointed as a Minister of State Owned Enterprises

in Indonesia by the President Joko Widodo.

3.1 Conclusion
Being a businessman is not easy, there are some failures they have,
but they don't give up and keep getting up until they get what they want.
to be a businessman must be prepared. ready to fail, and ready to
improve until it succeeds
