There was a clear explanation of what the
program is for and on what to be done.
However, some parents/guardians have some
queries on those students who are
unvaccinated but wanted to participate for the
pilot limited face-to-face classes
The activity helps the parents/guardians
understand how the procedure of pilot limited
face-to-face classes will be implemented.
Moreover, there is a clear explanation of the

As stipulated in DepEd Order No. 071 s. 2021, the President has approved the joint proposal of DepEd and
DOH for the conduct of pilot face-to-face classes in 100 public schools and 20 private schools, or a total of 120
schools nationwide. Through the validation assessment, the schools to re-open will be determined according to their
physical readiness. Tropical Village National High School has taken its steps for the preparation which includes the
cleaning of the classrooms and other areas, conducting of webinar for hybrid teaching and learning, and managing of
parents’ orientation. For the second round, the school has called up for another parents’ orientation, but this time, only
those confirmed students would be invited to attend.
This meeting was expected to provide the parents all the information they had to know before the official
launch of the pilot testing of limited face-to-face. There may be dos and don’ts that are needed to be followed during
the class period to ensure the safety of the students. There would be another slide presentation which shows how the
school prepped up for the nearly approaching face-to-face classes. The school believes that with the continuous
support and constant communication of parents to TVNHS teachers, this plan will be a successful one.
This important orientation was divided into two parts: the first batch is for Grade 7 and Grade 8 parents,
while the second batch is for Grade 9 to Grade 10 teachers. It started off with an opening prayer led by Mr. Jhumil
Marasigan, Grade 10 Curriculum Chairman. Next, a welcome remark was delivered by Mr. Patricio Cruzada, Head
Teacher III and the OIC for School Governance. Then the orientation proper was addressed by Mrs. Mariglo Bayot,
the TIC on Curriculum which was followed by another presentation shown by Mr. Jomar Liveta from the DRRM side.
A. Class Program
It was decided that the students shall attend their classes twice a week, every Monday and
Wednesday, while their modular schedule goes every Tuesday and Thursday. Friday is allotted for
the submission of outputs. It was also emphasized that they must go to school at or before 7 am
because the class would immediately start at that period. Then, it was also mentioned that the
students have to observe proper school uniform: blouse or white t-shirt and skirt for girls, and pants
and polo or white t-shirt for boys, and their school ID and QR code. Lastly, the students were
encouraged to bring their own drinks and snacks because they would not be allowed to go out to
minimize close contact outside the school premise.
B. Consent Form
a
GTC-03D-F07-R3-2020
A waiver was provided to the parents granting their children their approval for the limited
face-to-face classes and that the school would not be held accountable for any infection that might
happen, but it was reassured that the school will keep the whole area sanitized and free from any
possible contamination.
A. Shared Responsibility
Since the conduct of limited face-to-face classes is considered a shared responsibility, the
school also collaborated with other stakeholders to put the plan into action. Certificates from the
LGU, letters of support, certificates of parents’ consent, and donations were flashed on the screen to
validate that this is not only a school’s desire to put this up, but other stakeholders’ desire as well.
On the screen, it implied the support the school received through monetary, manpower, and in-kind
offers.
The slide presentations revealed the behind-the-scenes preparations of each teacher from
the conduct of the first orientation, to the gathering of data, and to the profiling of students.
The school’s preparation in terms of its physical appearance was presented through the
pictures of every corner of the school premise. These photos included the actual classrooms of
Grade 7-10 with chairs 2 meters apart, actual markers of where the students should enter and exit,
safety reminders and stickers in every wall, rooms with ventilation equipment such as electric fan
and air filters, and sterilization boxes.
This pertains to some areas that may encounter high traffic for entrance and exit. With the
help of vibrant markers, these allow the students to determine the correct passage of the entrance
and exit per classroom and building.
One of the highlights of the meeting proper because this emphasizes how safe and secure
the learners are. It was explained that in every classroom, there are temperature thermal scanners
and sanitizers, and per chair, there are surgical masks they can use. Handwashing facilities and toilet
facilities were thoroughly cleaned, and there were schedules for the disinfection of each area. Proper
waste management was also tackled on this part.
After laying down all the accessible information to parents, an Open Forum was facilitated by Ms. Annalyn
Ventura, the Grade 9 Curriculum Chairperson, for some questions and concerns. Afterwards, closing remarks were
uttered by Mrs. Angelita Allarey, Guidance Teacher, and lastly, a closing prayer was led by Mrs. Arlyn Pasa, Grade 7
Curriculum Chairperson.
