Ice Breaker:
1. 1 thing that makes you sad
2. 1 thing that makes you excited

Topic: Jar of Gratitude

Many of us express gratitude by saying “thank you” to someone who has helped us or given us a
gift. Gratitude is a social emotion that signals our appreciation of the things others have done for us.

Taking a moment to be thankful for the good things in life can help you build a good attitude
and develop a deeper connection to people, especially in tough situations. For example, if someone is
sad and you write them a note of appreciation, you are likely not asking for anything from this person;
instead, you are reminding them of their value, and expressing gratitude for their existence.
Expressing your gratitude can improve your overall sense of well-being. Grateful people are more
agreeable, more open, and less anxious. People who express their gratitude for each other tend to be more
willing to forgive others.
Activity: On a clean sheet of paper, draw a Jar and inside the Jar, write those people who you are thankful
for. Answer also the processing questions below.
Processing Questions:
1. What did you feel about the activity?

Topic: Turn the Negative Goal into a Positive Goal

Negative emotions are the single biggest enemy that any of us have. A negative goal strives to
avoid falling into a worse one. In a positive Goal you have the ability and resources you need. Release
any negative thoughts and remember that you are a strong person who can satisfy your innermost
desires as soon as you make the first step to do so. If you can’t control playing mobile games, just
remind yourself and do positive action. By these, you will understand that being addicted in mobile
games will not help you to be productive in finishing your assignments. Let us turn our negative goal into
positive goal by understanding the situation and make an action to be better.

Activity: On a clean sheet of paper. Write down at least 4 negative goal and make it to a positive goal.

Example: Negative Goal: We want to stop Yelling and fighting so much.

to love and respect we feel for each other.

Topic: Positive Self- Talk

The way you talk to yourself can really impact your confidence. The effect can be good or bad
depending on whether your self-talk is positive or negative. Self-talk is your inner voice, the voice in your
mind that says the things you don’t necessarily say out loud. Our self-talk can actually have a much
bigger influence on the way we see ourselves and the world around us than we realize. It can help you
to feel more confident in achieving your goals and make decisions better.

Positive self-talk makes you feel good about yourself and the things that are going on in your
life. It’s like having an optimistic voice in your head that always looks on the bright side. Examples: ‘’I
am doing the best I can’’, ‘‘I can pass my exam’’. Negative self-talk makes you feel negative about
yourself and the things that are going on. Ex. “Everyone thinks I’m not good enough”.

Activity: Fill in the squares with your answer.
