*A complex sentence is composed of an independent clause and one or more dependent
clauses connected to it.
*Dependent clauses begin with subordinating conjunctions: after, although, as, because,
before, even though, if, since, though, unless, untill, when, whenever, whereas, wherever,
and while.
Use a coordinating conjunction to join each pair of the independent clause into a compound
sentence.
