TECHNICAL COMMUNICATION

•Technical communication is a
field that includes any following form
of communication that can help users
to accomplish a defined goal or task.
• The subject aims to prepare the
students of all courses on how to
write objectively, concisely,
accurately and presentably as they
prepare themselves to be future
professionals.
• There are four major topics need
to be discussed and they are
presented by sections in the
reference book:
➢Technical Writing
➢Research
➢Reports
➢Business Letters
• These four sections are distinctly
independent from each other and is
designed to fit to all the syllabus of
Technical Communication subject.

• Section 1 discusses the definition of


Technical Communication, its principles,
the technical writers and the different
techniques in writing.
•Section 2 is all about research. It
discusses the different kinds of
research, the parts and the procedures
of writing it.

•Section 3 is about different kinds of


reports. It discusses the guidelines on
how to prepare reports, its format and
the styles.
• Section 4 tackles about business letters. Its
parts, format, different styles, and kinds.
Examples are also provided according to
contents for the learners to have patterns to
follow.

• It is hoped that upon completion of the


lessons, students will be ready to confidently
face the challenges not only in their daily
activities, but most especially in dealing with
different people in terms of communication in
technical manner.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course provides enhanced discussion
on nature of technical communication,
specialized and structured way of writing,
where information is presented in a format
and manner that best suits the cognitive and
psychological needs of the readers aligned in
sciences, engineering and technology.
