Circle of the Protector(DUMG)

Druids of the circle of the Protector form their circles into organized clades that serve to protect both
the wildlands under their stewardship, and any humans who run afoul of the wild creatures they protect.
Most protector circles emulate a specific animal that they all follow, and use cloaks made out of skins
to facilitate their transformation and to recognize each other. One of the most famous circles of this sort
is the Order of the Selkie, a clade of female druids who take on the seal as their patron and use their
aquatic form to guard the northern coasts.

Bonded Form
At second level, your induction into the circle of the protector grants you an additional wild shape form
that you are well attuned to. Choose a beast without a flying speed whose challenge rating is ¼ or less.
You gain a cloak made from the skin of the creature you’ve selected. While this cloak is on your
person, the beast form you selected when you gained this feature counts as your bonded form, and is a
valid form for the purposes of the wild shape feature, even if it does not obey the normal restrictions for
that power. If you ever lose your cloak, you may request another from your circle by performing a one-
hour ritual over the course of a short or long rest, and burning rare herbs worth at least 25 gp. At the
end of the ritual, another cloak forms in from of you, and any previous cloaks you had from your
Bonded form feature disappear.

Protective Mantle
At second level, you have learned to channel the protective magic of your circle. Whenever a creature
within ten feet of you is hit by an attack roll, you can impose disadvantage on the attack roll as a
reaction, possibly causing the attack to miss.

Reflexive Shifting
At sixth level, you have become more accustomed to your bonded form, and can shift as an almost
instinctual response to harm. Whenever your wild shape form is reduced to zero hitpoints, you can
expend a use of your wild shape to immediately enter your bonded form. Your bonded form
immediately takes any damage that your normal form would have taken if you have reverted to it
instead. You can use this ability once, and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest.

Aura of Warding
At tenth level, you are better able to protect yourself and those around you. Whenever you use your
Protective mantle feature, you can designate two creatures other than yourself within 10 feet of you to
be shielded by your mantle until the start of your next turn. Whenever a shielded creature takes
damage, you may expend a spell slot to reduce the damage they take by 1d8 per level of the spell slot
expended. If you reduce the damage to zero or less, the shielded creature takes no damage.
Additionally, whenever you enter your bonded form, you gain temporary hit-points equal to twice
your druid level. These temporary hit points last until you take a short or long rest or until you are no
longer in your bonded form.

Shared Form
At fourteenth level, you have gained the ability to allow others who share your cause to temporarily
take on your bonded form. While the cloak from your bonded form feature is on your person, you can
conduct a ten-minute ritual targeting up to two willing humanoids who are within five feet of you for
the duration of the ritual. At the end of the ritual, you must expend a use of your wild shape and
transform into your bonded form. If you are unable to do that, the ritual fails. If the ritual succeeds, the
humanoids you targeted transform into the creature you selected for your bonded form as if they had
used the wild shape feature. This transformation lasts until they are forced to revert to their previous
forms in response to taking damage as described in the wild shape feature, or until you are no longer in
your bonded form, at which point they revert to their previous forms.
