1. IMPACT OF COVID ON HEALTH SECTOR
Threat of Covid was all about on health and how an individual
make efforts to keep them away from affects of this deadly
virus. Ensuring a strong immunity was really Importance. The
Virus exposed health sectors of various countries. It taught a
lesson that even money can't save people in this tougher times.
★Positive Impact :
Medical systems in any country improved to sustainable levels
to face a pandemic situation. They understood the existing gaps
in these systems. Especially, many South and East Asian
countries focused on their indigenous medical systems and how
it should be integrated with the biomedical systems.
★Negative Impact:
Health and medical systems, especially biomedical systems,
have taken their maximum effort but the healthcare system
itself is affected due to various conditions in nature. Thus, there
are many deaths reported though the biomedical system has
made an enormous effort.
It exposed the health sector of countries. Many countries were
unavailable to fulfil needs of people for medical requirements.
Shortage of medicine and medical instruments were created.
Many people can't even get basic health care.
High rate of deaths due to various complications of this diseases
occurred amongst the patients, especially the elderly who were
affected by COVID-19. People couldn't even find beds in hospital
to save life for their dear ones.
★POSITIVE IMPACTS:
Domestic production increased due to family or cottage level
agricultural practices including other small-scale handicraft
productions in society due to unemployment in this tough
COVID times. This may reduce the market demand to some extent
and make country self independent in production.
The potentials would be in domestic production and services to
maintain local traditional lifestyles rather than adapting to
modernity.
People may repose their trust in many local-level trades and
business firms rather than depending on the supermarket
systems. These trends strengthen the supply chain network at
national and regional levels. Perhaps, there may be some new
trading opportunities too amongst regional countries.
It contributed in boosting down-falling economy.
★NEGATIVE IMPACTS:
Downward trends of family economic conditions and several
lower hierarchy social classes facing unbearable economic
hardships due to lack of daily or monthly earnings. Though there
are market accessibility and supply chain network even under
the limitation of social mobility, they do not possess the
purchasing power.
Country as a whole suffered due to this pandemic. Millions of
people lost their job. This created downfall in economy.
Several countries had to take huge loans to meet economic needs.
It created problems in almost all economic fronts.
★POSITIVE IMPACT :
COVID-19 has accelerated adoption of digital technologies to deliver
education. The pandemic situation induced people to learn and use
digital technology and resulted in increasing the
digital literacy.
Learning materials are shared among the
students easily and the queries are resolved
through E-mails , SMS, phone calls and video
calls.Students are able to manage their time more
efficiently in online education during pandemics.
Teachers have also adopted new methods of teachings like
PPTs,videos, video conferencing which are considered as one of the best
and fast learning medium of teaching.
Students preparing for competitive exams are being provided with an
opportunity to avail online crash courses on 50% discount and they also
watch these classes again and again.
★NEGATIVE IMPACT :
Education sector has suffered a lot due to the
pandemic.Classes have been suspended and exams of
different level postponed.Admission process got
delayed. Most of the recruitment got postponed due to the
COVID-19.
Unemployment rate is expected to be increased .Online
learning has also been a problem to poor children who do not have any
internet facilities.
Online learning has also created a large gap among the students and
teachers . As the schools were closed there is no mid-day meal programme
which seriously impacted 115 million children who faced
malnourishment due to school closure.
Laboratory based practical exposure in fields of engineering and
medical has also been abandoned.

SURVEY
SUMMARY
From the detailed survey that we have conducted among
the people from different walks of life , we came to know
that they have both positive and negative opinions on the
topic ie. the challenges and opportunities created by the
covid pandemic.
Many of them think that the covid pandemic has
destroyed their health and living style. According to
many students, the online classes that came into the
education system has been destroying their motivation
to study. For the poorer class ,it has caused serious
problems like job lost, less salary etc because of which they
have to leave their working places and return to their
homes in order to survive in the pandemic.
But in the survey, we also find out that there are several
advantages or opportunities brought by the covid. The
covid lockdown helped the world in accelerating its
online systems and technologies in months . Further it
also taught us how to tackle these types of
pandemics ,which will help us in the future.
Thus, we can say that the society considers the pandemic
as both a challenge and an opportunity.

CONCLUSION
COVID-19 has come as a shock to societies, health systems,
economies, and governments worldwide. It influenced the
world by not only killing millions of people but also by
developing a sense of fear in the minds of others, all across
the globe.
The COVID-19 crisis has affected societies and economies
around the globe and will permanently reshape our world as
it continues to unfold. While the fallout from the crisis is
both amplifying familiar risks and creating new ones,
change at this scale also creates new openings for managing
systemic challenges, and ways to build back better. For
example one of the advantages of this pandemic was that it
accelerated a sweeping digital transformation, as consumers
and businesses were forced to do, in months what would
normally have taken years.
Nonetheless, just as a crisis carries risks, it is also
accompanied by opportunities. When the storm passes and
the dust settles, whether the new world will emerge stronger
-and the post-COVID-19 normal more resilient and
sustainable-will hinge on our ability to effectively mitigate
the risks while harnessing the opportunities that these
circumstances may produce.

GROUP
REFLECTION
For the project we interviewed some of our
neighbours and asked about the problems they
are facing now and how was the scenario before
it etc.
All of them shared their opinions with us and
we recorded that in our CDs.
This project gave us a better understanding of
the pandemic,its challenges,opportunities and
its impact on various sectors.
Making this project made us realise that it’s our
choice to take the pandemic as a challenge or an
opportunity.
