WORK METHOD STATEMENT FOR SOLID PARTITION WITH ALUMNIUM

FRAME WORK AND GYPSUM / PLYWOOD ON SINGLE / EITHER SIDE

OBJECTIVE:

The objective of this method statement is to carry out the SOLID PARITION WITH
ALUMNIUM FRAME WORK AND GYPSUM / PLYWOOD ON SINGLE / EITHER SIDE
by meeting the technical specification and complying with Standards.

SCOPE:

The scope of this method statement includes SOLID PARITION WITH ALUMNIUM
FRAME WORK AND GYPSUM / PLYWOOD ON SINGLE / EITHER SIDE 100mm /250
mm THICK at ITC Infotech Green Center while executing it in accordance with technical
specifications.

SAFETY PRECAUTION

 Induction to all the personnel involved by Vendor safety manager.

 Toolbox talks will be conduct regular by safety manager
 Issue of a permit by PMC Managers.
 Use of appropriate PPE.
 Barricading if required

PROCEDURE:

General:

 Ensure Material approval prior to start work

 Ensure approved drawing available prior to start of work
 Take clearance from services (MEP) before start of work if required
 Ensure necessary safety precautions are in place prior to start.

EXECUTION OF PARTITION WORK:

 Marking will be done according to the approve drawing

 Fix the top and bottom channels to the flooring and ceiling fastened to the floor slab
and ceiling soffit using rawl plugs with s 75 MM long crew/expansion fasteners at
600mm c/c, and make a grid of 600mm X 600 mm c/c grid using aluminium sections
 Post completion of framework, gypsum boards (12.5mm thick) are to be fixed
vertically and need to maintain raised by 3mm from the floor and 3mm short of true
ceiling at one side fixed in staggered pattern and the joint will be filled with jointing
compound
 All the containment works to be completed upon completion of single side boarding
and activity clearance checklist to be signed off
 Infill material to be fix by wrapping in a RP tissue and to be fix using the clamps and
GI Wires and 2nd Side boarding to close
 Cut out will be given as per the requirement of services.
 All Joints to be filled with the fiber mesh tape and Jointing compound and to be
finished to received

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Construction Manager: He shall be responsible for overall management of

construction activities.
 Site Engineer: He shall be responsible for Executing in safe work method as per
Drawings and guide the supervisors and work men.

 QA/QC In charge: He shall be responsible for ensuring the quality of work &
materials as per the Specifications and standards.
 HSE Manager/Engineer: He shall be responsible for assisting to engineer/supervisor
to ensure the safety of workers during the progress of work. Safety inductions of
each staff and workers shall be done and daily PPE check to be done and toolbox talk
shall be carried out before the start of work. General safety awareness as well as
safety precautions and guidelines for activity to be carried out in that day shall be
discussed.
 Stores officer: He shall be responsible for storing of all materials. Also responsible for
maintaining the record of incoming and outgoing and up to date stock details of
materials.
