6 daily while my father works in the farm all day to feed our family. My little sister

8 plants and feed the goats. In this way, the work gets done easily. We are all happy

8 RADIO TEACHER: A vowel digraph is a combination of two vowels that make a
9 single vowel sound like oa in ‘boat’, oo in ‘book’, ee in ‘feet’, ea in ‘meat’, ai in ‘rain’,
10 and ay in pray. It can be found either at the beginning, at the middle, or at the end of
11 the word. The vowel digraphs ay and ai have long a sound. Ea and ee have long e
12 sound, while oo and oa have long o sound. Here are some examples of words with
13 vowel digraph. Repeat after me:
14 Words with vowel digraph /ai/ in words that sounds as long a. Example: pail, sail, and
15 nail. Words with vowel digraph /ay/ in words that also sounds as long a. Example:
16 spray, clay, and slay. Words with vowel digraph /ee/ in words that sounds as long e.
17 Example: teeth, speech, and free. Words with vowel digraph /ea/ in words that also
18 sounds as long e. Example: head, bear, and fear. Words with vowel digraph /oo/ in
19 words that sounds as long o. Example: mood, food, and hood. Words with vowel
20 digraph /oa/ in words that also sounds as long o. Example: loaf, coat, and toast.
21 Those are some of the words with vowel digraphs and there’s a lot more of them.

16 RADIO TEACHER: Great work out there! Let us remember that a Vowel Digraph is a
17 combination of two vowels that make a single vowel sound. These can be found at the
18 beginning, middle or end of the word.
