18 Words with Long a, i, o, u Sound (ending in e). See to it that the module you are holding

2 Ready? Directions: Write the word “initial” if the consonant l-blend of the underlined
3 word is in the beginning and write “final” if it’s at the end. Again, write the word

5 “final” if it’s at the end.

18 vowel sounds (a, i, o, u) ending in e. It can be read in many different ways, one
19 of these ways is the silent e at the end of the word that can make the previous
20 vowel long. Here are some examples of words with long a sound. Let's read
21 them! You repeat after me. Say, make (PAUSE), name (PAUSE), wage
22 (PAUSE), sale (PAUSE). Very good! Next, let us have example of words with
23 long i sound. Let’s read them! You repeat after me. Say, site (PAUSE), fine
24 (PAUSE), mine (PAUSE), ride (PAUSE). Great job! Let’s go to the example of
25 words with long o sound. Let’s start! Bone (PAUSE), code (PAUSE), dome
(PAUSE), hope (PAUSE).
