26 story. One of you liked the story “The Lion and the Mouse”, can you

4 page 1, I will read you a story entitled “Sampaguita and Rose” by
5 Almar S. Ebrano. Did you already know this? If not, please listen
6 carefully as I’ve read the story and after that you will answer the

15 2. What are those flowers being planted? (PAUSE) Very good!
16 The flowers being planted are rose and sampaguita.
17 3. Which flower has caught people’s attention? Why? (PAUSE)

19 because due to their attractive colors. 4. How are they different


20 from each other? (PAUSE) Exactly! Rose had a romantic scent and
21 attractive colors while sampaguita not having a good scent and a
22 catchy color. 5. What was the rose being symbolized to? How
23 about Sampaguita? (PAUSE) Excellent! Rose symbolize love and
24 sampaguita symbolized a pure and kind heart. (PAUSE)

1 RADIO TEACHER: A sentence expresses a complete thought. It begins with
2 a capital letter. It ends with a period (.), or a question mark (?), or an
3 exclamation point (!). To describe one’s drawing, you must consider
4 the following: 1. number (one, two), 2. size (small, tall)
5 3. shapes (round, long), 4. age (old, new), 5. color (red, blue)
6 6. opinion (pretty, good). (PAUSE)
7 In addition, you must look at the characters and the place because they
8 will lead you. It is clear for you grade 3? Now let’s move to your activity.

14 corresponding boxes below. Then, describe each flower by writing its
15 differences and similarities using the Venn Diagram. I will give you a

28 The old man is holding balloons with different colors while the young
29 man is holding a bunch of flowers.
