Project7 Mindfulness Pledge©

Project7 Mindfulness Pledge ©
1. I Pledge to be here
I recognize it can be difficult to separate work and home life. I’ve agreed to work here
and to perform to the best of my ability. I will focus on being present in body, mind and
heart. Work isn’t just a warm body taking up physical space in a room. It’s me fully
present and engaged in the unfolding challenges right here, right now, in this moment.

2. I Pledge to be prepared
I strive to be successful. It’s easier to be successful when I’m prepared. A good sleep,
right attitude, nourishment, knowledge and professional growth are examples of my
responsibility toward preparedness here at work. I will aim to be prepared for my
success at work.

3. I Pledge to be humble
I don’t know everything. I will ask for help when I face something unknown to me. I will
actively listen and obtain feedback from coworkers who express concerns of safety. I
will be open to coworkers who come to me for my own expertise and welcome
constructive feedback. I recognize that all levels of experience add to our team as well
as the patient & family experience.

4. I Pledge to look at what I have

I recognize there are an infinite amount of problems in the world and work is part of
the world. I will spend more time being optimistic about what I have to work with and
less time seeking out what is missing. I will be a pro-active team member and offer
solutions. I’m more likely to find solutions in the moment if I focus on the good that
surrounds me right here, right now. I pledge to look at what I have.

5. I pledge to look at how I can help

I recognize I have an internal dialog with myself all the time. With pledge 4 in mind, I
will start asking myself these two questions. How can I help? Is there something I can
do to make this better? I’m bound to find solutions if I look for ways to help.

6. I Pledge to aim for excellence

I recognize excellence when I see it. It’s my priority to be empowered to achieve
professional excellence. When I aim for excellence I’m bound to surpass average and
reach excellence. I will aim for excellence and trust. I aim to be supportive of my
coworkers’ goals to reach excellence in their work as well.

7. I Pledge to have strength and courage

I recognize it’s my responsibility to find enjoyment and fulfillment in my work. When I
feel unchallenged I pledge to have courage and push myself towards personal and
professional growth. I will remain positive and seek out opportunities to be an active
member of our team. I will grow and remain fulfilled in my work here.
