I. RATIONALE

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected us all, especially students who are suffering from
anxiety, loneliness, and depression. However, through hugging music, we might be able to help each
other appreciate this new normal. Did you know that the American Psychological Association
discovered that listening to and playing music boosts the immune system's efficacy by increasing
the body's production of the antibody immunoglobulin A and natural killer cells, which target
invading viruses. The stress hormone cortisol is also reduced by music. As a Special Program in the
Arts student, I'd like to share everything I've learned over the course of my four years in high school
in order to make people happy, relieve loneliness, and reduce stress in the face of the covid-19
pandemic. Especially nowadays many students are not given the opportunity to excel in their
specific talent skill because, as we all know, some of them cannot afford to enroll in music classes.

This activity/project proposal's expected conduction is every Friday; a tutorial which aims
to lessen the participants loneliness and anxiety, to explore their talent and to lessen the usage of
cellphone as well as to boost their confidence.
II. METHODOLOGY

NSTP CWTS 2 STUDENT COVENANT/AGREEMENT
2nd Semester 2021-2022

The impact of the covid-19 pandemic to the education sector had the government to
enforce strict implementation of safety measures to avoid the people contracting the
virus. With such predicament, schools have been mandated to subscribe to flexible
blended learning for all of its students. Hence, the challenge for NSTP students on how
to go about service-learning activities in the new normal remains. Such prohibition to
render or complete community-based learning experiences remain to be dim or sheer
impossibility. On the other hand, we recognize that the integration of the service
component would create a deeper sense of civic responsibility as students will have the
opportunity to exhibit the values as they interact and work with people in the
community. This however, will not be possible anymore.

As student of NSTP CWTS 2, I fully understand the prohibitions under the covid-19
pandemic and the rules and regulations of the CHED and the IATF in the conduct of
classes in the tertiary level. As such all activities deemed necessary for its conduct and
completion shall be done within the confines of my home or residence. I shall in effect
subject myself for compliance and will allow myself to be monitored and checked as I
utilize other forms of service-learning approaches in coordination with the class or
block I am a part of. I shall confine myself in the vicinity of my residence as I do my
share of task our class has decided to execute and complete this 2 nd semester 2021-2022
in our subject NSTP CWTS 2.
