means it focuses on improving the process. Findings are for identifying areas that need
improvement. While, evaluation is determining the value of something. It is more of a
final process, known as product-oriented that means it focuses on the quality of the
process. Findings are judgmental in evaluation as they come to an overall score.
2.Formative evaluation and Summative evaluation

Formative Evaluation is judging while the activities are in progress, it focuses on

the process. Examples are quizzes and tests that evaluate how someone is learning
throughout a course. Summative evaluation is judging at the end of the program
activities, it focuses on the result. Examples are quizzes and tests that evaluate how
much has someone learned throughout the course.

Formative assessment takes place during a course and summative assessment

are the final evaluation at the course end.

3.Measurement and Evaluation

Measurement is all about numbers and being able to measure output or skill, it is
more objective as they have numerical standards to be compared and reported. While,
evaluation allows to use data and knowledge to assess success or failure, it can take
place without numerical measurement as it measures quality. Evaluation may be
considered to be more subjective.
